My wife and I are visiting the Magic Kingdom in July. We have wanted to try Skippers Canteen and are able to squeeze it in one day for lunch. My question is will we be frowned upon if we order from the kid's menu at lunch? Our big meal of the day is dinner and if we eat a big meal at lunch, we will be miserable at dinner. Is splitting an adult entrée a more acceptable practice?

I don't know if you've considered their appetizers. I often do apps and a drink for lunch and theirs are really good. But, to answer your question, no. No-one will care if you order from the kids' menu. Enjoy!

I'm looking at the Kid's menu at Skipper's Canteen. I would assume that even if you wanted a light lunch.....that it would be better to have appetizers. From what I can tell, you can get a better "taste" of what Skipper Canteen has to offer from the Appetizer menu then the Kid's menu.

I agree that getting an app or splitting an entree there is probably better than a kids meal. But I don't think the portions are huge to begin with.
