After our last trip to WDW in June 05 we decided to bite the bullet and do the Disney Cruise. Well we left Port Canaveral on the Magic on June 3rd. It was an amazing ship with beyond expectations service... but for me something was missing. THE PARKS!

I hadn't even looked on this board much the past year because I knew it would probably bum me out that we weren't going to WDW so I stayed focused on the cruise board (amazing place, wonderful people).

Now I am back :) and planning a 10 night stay for next June. We aren't sure exactly when we will be going.. first or second week. Alot depends on when our oldest DD graduates high school and when family can come for her party.

Now that I have bored you all.. ;) I will continue with my question.

So what has changed in the past year? What is a not to miss thing? Has anything gone down hill?

I am sure everything is just as magical as when we left it... but I need a fix and I need a fix bad. Please give me details.

Also.. does anyone know if they are planning on leaving the decorations on the castle after the celebration is over? I hope so. I love the way it looks with them.

Hi there,
We were there last in July 05, so I'm not sure I know much more than you. Expedition Everest has opened up. The new Finding Nemo Show at AK will be open. The new Nemo attraction at The Living Seas in Epcot will be open. They are starting a new Dreams promotion starting in October (replacing the 50th anniversary of DL celebration).

What am I missing everyone?

Just teasing. . . :goodvibes

I know that you're excited after a long (for Dis-ers) lapse.

As the other poster said,
Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, new Nemo show, no Tarzan Rocks anymore, and it's still hot.

Magic Kingdom: I guess that there will be a new Cinderella show at the castle :confused3 I think that Buzz and Woody are in Tomorrowland now (I think that they were mostly at MGM before. New additions to P of C. Rehab of Liberty Belle. Cindy's Castle meals are now 2 dining credits.

MGM--New Power Rangers acc. to my DS; new children's character meal at H&V

Epcot--Coca Cola Ice Igloo is back open; Mission Space has a "toned-down" version now; Character Caravan is gone; Norway has gone mostly to Princesses. Figment can be found for photos by his ride.

Most importantly for planning, they keep fiddling around with the old Priority Seatings, which are now called ADRs. The times to call keep changing so you probably need to keep an ear to the ground for your call-dates.

I know that I'm forgetting a lot. . . :crazy2:

thanks. I had forgotten about the coco-cola thing. We were really sad when it was closed during our last trip.

So how is Mission Space toned down? We didn't go on it before because well... we didn't want to get sick.

Also, 'Millionaire' will be closing in August of this year. It is to be replaced by what is currently called 'Midway Mania', which is a shooter of sorts with state of the art technology.
