We asked to book a King Bed room at the YC for our honeymoon, and when I called to make payment last week, I was told it is a "King Parlor" room. Well...I have already discovered that this is a Sico Room, with a Murphy Bed in it. Grumble, grumble. Now, I also hear that this room is significantly smaller than the rest of the standard rooms at the YC. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Should I call and request to be changed to a two queen bed room, since I am paying the same price? Is the size difference really that noticeable? Any comments on this type of room will be greatly appreciated.

We accidentally booked one of these rooms for our upcoming trip. Tikiman provided pictures and a description for me. It was just about a week ago, so you should be able to do a search and find the thread - I think it was entitled "YC sico room?".

Anyway, after that, and calling CRO back, I came to understand that the sico rooms are a category that can be booked, thus guaranteeing you a king bed. Also there are regular rooms with either 2 queens or a king bed. As with all things Disney, you can request a king bed as a preference, but you may not get it. Is that clear as mud  ?

We called back and changed our reservation to a regular room with a preference for a king bed (NOT a sico room).

Hope this helps!
