Has anyone used sitters unlimited? I wanted to go out with my DH for his birthday, we havent had a night out alone in............over a year (ouch, has it been that long?) If anyone has any suggestions for a babysitting service, that would be great!

Megan,
Thank you for your interest in our babysitting service.

While I’ve attached our brochure here is the condensed version:

Sitters Unlimited is licensed and insured and has been in business in Orange County for over 20 years.
We have been on Disneyland's list of preferred sitters for many years as well as many other prominent hotels on the west coast.
All of our sitters are carefully screened, fingerprinted, CPR certified professionals and have many years experience in child-care. Many of our sitters are teachers and nurses. We even have a former 911 operator who is one of our clients’ favorite sitters!
You may do a phone interview at no charge or schedule a 30 minutes hotel visit with a potential caregiver for $15.00.
The fee for your family would be $14/hr when the babysitter is completely in charge and $16/hr to help out while at the park. There is a minimum of 4 hours/visit plus a $7/visit travel fee.
To schedule a babysitter all you need to do is give us a call and let us know the ages of your children, the day and time you want the babysitter to arrive as well as when you would be returning. If you're booking your first sit with us then also spell your first and last name and let us know what hotel you will be staying at.

This is the e-mail I got from them, if anyone else was wondering about it as well.

Interesting!

I had read in a guidebook that a service called Fullerton Childcare was the preferred sitter at DL. I posted an inquiry last year to see if anyone had tried them out and what their thoughts were, but no one responded. DH and I would have loved to have a quiet dinner to ourselves, but I just wasn't comfortable with it, so we didn't.

Hopefully this will get a bite. :)

I haven't used a sitting service because I am a paranoid freak! But my kids are only 6, 3, and 2. When they are older, I might consider it. I wonder how much they charge for 3 kids.

Having a "helper" at the park (if it were just dh and I and the kids) would be great, too.

Im really unsure about it, I NEVER leave my kids with a babysitter...... But it would be nice to have a quiet dinner out. If only my parents would bite the bullet and come with!

Ok, seriously? There are now 5 babysitting threads that are years old on the main page that you've resurrected. What is the point of that?

Well sounds like Leenie was just advising us that they used this service and was happy with it... good advice for any out there that are looking for babysitting services no reason to jump on them about using an old thread to do it.... :)

One old thread? Sure. SIX old threads? Spam.
