Sit down! Buckle up! & Hang On! Mickeystoontown's Gang is going to Walley World! 5/15

What a fun update!!! We are driving for the first time this year and it is about 1,200 miles for us...800 or so sounds much better though!!

I am too much of a pansy to stay in a "haunted hotel!" I don't think it would even be a restful nights sleep...might as well just continue the drive at that point. A ghost did photo-bomb your parking lot picture though, so at least you got some action.

I LOVE the dresses you made!! How adorable!!

Can't wait to hear more. Too bad you arent going to be there just two weeks later...I would have loved to meet you!

Happy Sunday!

awww those dresses are just gorgeous Lisa. Thats where I miss having a girl to dress up all pretty. Having two boys ...well you know.

Hello! Im a little late but this looks like fun and I couldn't help but subscribe for the rest! :)

I am caught up! I love your trip! But I'm a little sad to know you drive through Hattie! Or more that you are avoiding my Mississippi "home" (I only lived there 2 years-but I do miss it!!)

Very behind catching up but if course that drive is pretty identical to ours! I saw the spaceship...uhm gym and thought of you this weekend! I do every time we go by it. Does your BIL mean going a different route or do you guys go straight through on 49 past USM? We always bypass to 98. But the campus got so much damage from the tornado it tears me up! Can't wait to hear more details!!

Those dresses are adorable!!!! :lovestruc

Love the dresses!! I think my DD would look adorable in those!! Do you have like an Etsy shop set up or just here on the Dis? :goodvibes

Very cute dresses!

OH MY GOSH!!!!! I love that giraffe pillow case dress, thats super cute!!!! eeek I can't wait to get there,i'll be there May 27-30th and we should definately meet up,i'm excited to tag along in this pre tr.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't wait to put those dresses on little Aubree. :goodvibes

Those are soooo cute!!!

Thank you all! I thought that the dresses turned out really really cute! I so wish that Lacey would have worn cute little dresses like that when she was younger. As it was, I had a hard time even getting her to wear a hair bow. She was such a tomboy...just like her Mama. ;)

And I think of you every time I see it! ::yes::

We usually go straight through Hattiesburg past the colleges and hospital and then get on 98. The route they are talking about turns off before you get into Hattiesburg. I'll have to look at the hwy. #s and post them. She said that it cuts off 20 minutes of driving.

My cousin lives and teaches in Hattiesburg. She moved there after getting married and she said that the destruction was horrible. :worried:

Not late at all! Welcome!

1,200 miles :faint:! Are ya'll driving straight through or breaking it up?

Here!

If i saw snakes that large, i would need more than those diapers!

Just seeing them on the screen made me jumpy!

I am pretty darn sure that the snakes in the pictures are NOT snakes that you'd find in Florida. At least that's what I am telling myself. :lmao:

Ok so I'm joining in!! I followed all along on your TR but think I only posted toward the beginning, I'm really working on my lurker stays ;) :rotfl:

We have the same exact Disney dates!! How cool is that! Maybe we will run into each other! I think your family trip sounds wonderful and what better place to spend quality time with them! :goodvibes

I loved all your resort changes, sounded like me planning our trip but it really was a lot of fun comparing and changing around!! I love CBR and POR/FQ! I had no idea about the roach issue at POR :crazy2: that's where we were thinking of staying next trip in a Royal room!

Your road trip pics are awesome! We live allll the way (lol) up near Albany so no way I'm driving while DD is so little but it looks like you guys have a great time! We only honk thru tunnels up around here if it's a one way tunnel lol! My DF will honk in a parking lot if he's backing up, "just in case" I laugh every time and call him a little old man :rotfl2: oh and if I saw those snakes or alligators :faint: no thank you!!
Can't wait to hear more about your trip! :goodvibes

Welcome! I hope that you will feel free to post!

I forgot to look at your ticker....where are ya'll staying?

We have thought about flying but we'd still have to make a 2 hours drive to the airport and the airfare is outrageous!

having driven that same road many times those sights look very familiar...hehe cant believe we wont be doing the drive this year, its going to be strange. The thing is too..I hate flying but the 4 yr old is desperate to get on a plane so we will give it a try. I cant see me liking it too much, Im used to taking eveything and the kitchen sink with me in the back of the car. We have made a few "emergency" side of the road stops with the 4 yr old and Ive often wondered about those snakes!!!

I can see how your 4 year old would be excited to fly for the first time. I've never flown commercially. I've only flown on a private plane. Oh doesn't that sound like I'm all right and famous! :rotfl2: Actually, my uncle owned the plane and he flew us around our area a few times. Nothing like it sounds like. :p

We drive the same stretch you all do but from I-10 all the way from the Texas line. ANyways, we flew last year and it just wasn't the same. Don't get me wrong I really dislike driving but flying wasn't for us. We couldn't pack all the extras because of the airplane and then we had no vehicle to go where we wanted when we wanted. This time we are back to driving. I do hope you enjoy it more than we did!

I don't know that I'd do well with flying because, I'm like you and like to take extra "stuff" so I'm not sure that I'd be able to pack for a flying vacation.

I think I know who those dresses are for.

I bet you do! ;)

Oh My Gosh. You probably wouldn't believe this, but I used to be a big Bobby Brown fan. :rotfl: Yep, I'll admit it. I have seen him in concert twice. :goodvibes And now after watching your video link I am watching other videos. ::yes::

I saw him when Michael was really little, so about 23 years ago or more.
It was awesome. And while we were there they annouced they were doing a live video for Every Little Step I Take and all the lights went flashing and it was so cool.
I never saw the video, but a friend of mine asked if one was taped while we went and I told her yes and she said she saw it a couple of times and swore it was Toledo. LOL

And then saw him during the New Edition reunion tour (again many years ago). That was a fun concert as well. Rumors were that Bobby Brown didn't show up to all the shows (I think it had to do with drug issues), but he came to ours and did a great job. Plus each of the members who had branched out on their own or in groups (like Bell Biv Devo) also did mini shows in the concert too.

So now you know my deep dark secret. :smokin:

Oh you Bobby Brown Lover You! I can just see you at the concerts now! :dancer:

Honking in a tunnel?! Never heard of such a thing. But I guess here in WV we have our own tunnel tradition...or maybe it's just my family and friends' families. But we have always hold our breath through tunnels. And see who (if anyone) can make it til the end.

I spent 2 days at work reading your previous TR and LOVE it! I have always thought I would love a cruise, especially a Disney one, but you confirmed my fears. I do not what to feel like I am stuck somewhere with no way out if thing weren't going right!

Can't wait for the rest of the PTR and TR to follow!

Oooh, I wonder if we should honk AND hold our breaths in the tunnel?

You had a lot of reading to do to read my last trip report all the way through. ::yes:: I must say that we are now considering another Disney cruise. After giving it a lot of thought, there were so many other circumstances that caused us to question whether or not we had a good time. Looking back, the good times far outweighed the bad.

Because of the high cost of air travel we will drive from Illinois in June to WDW. Reading about your drive makes it more fun. We will take three days to travel - two cars and maybe some side trips. We could drive through or do it in two days but decided to take our time and enjoy the ride. Looking forward to more of you PTR.

A convoy of cars! We did that once with four cars and made an 8 hour drive up to Branson, Missouri. That was back in the day of CBs and we had so much fun doing the breaker breaker 1-9 calls! :rotfl2:

Your boring drive sounds pretty similar to ours, even though we take different routes to get to I-75! :moped:

And now we can say we'll be there next month! :hyper:

Next month! Next month! We'll both be in Disney next month!

Okie dokie! I think that I posted replies to everybody's posts. There have been very bad storms in our area and it looks like it may be heading some of ya'll's way. Hunker down! The winds and rain were bad! (actually it's still raining here) Life has slowed down a teeny tiny bit but it's still busy. The boss is going out of town for two days next week. Bridora, he's headed up your way so take cover. That means, I should be able to get in at least a couple of updates. I'm working on one now and hope to get it posted by this afternoon.

In the meantime, look at the cute shabby chic hair clips Lacey is selling:

Those dresses are absolutely adorable! Love those hair clips. Does Lacey have an Etsy shop? They are so cute!

It is thundering here as we speak. So glad the storms didn't come thru during the night. I'd rather have the bad weather during the day when I can keep a watch on it. Well I would really rather not have bad weather at all but you know what I mean.

Love, love, LOVE the hair clips Lacey is making!
I'm so excited for your PTR..I've been lurking and reading your reports since 2009 back when we took our daughter for the first time! She is now 10 and I now have a son who is 1..almost the same age difference as Lacey and Hunter! And my husband could probably give John a runnin' for his money on the slow moving brigade so each time I read your reports about getting John moving I giggle to myself because I totally can relate! Anyway..just wanted to say hello and that I enjoy your reports and posts so much! We also love CBR and have never stayed anywhere else so keep those CBR pics coming when y'all go.:wave2:

We have a storm headed our way too, and some to our west are getting snow with it. YUCK.
Those hair clips are really cute!!

Catching up! The dresses are adorable :goodvibes I saw the hair pins Lacey made on Facebook and they are great too. :cutie:

The weather has been c-r-a-z-y here! Yesterday, it was 86 and today it's 46.

Lacey did have an Etsy shop but I don't know if she still maintains it, I'll have to ask her.

So you didn't get the super bad weather? I saw that there were tornados near the Mississippi/Alabama line. I texted a friend in Birmingham and they let schools out because of the bad weather.

Love, love, LOVE the hair clips Lacey is making!
