Sorry if this question has been asked already, but I would like to know families that have a Sit and Stand's opinion of their stroller. Lemme give you a little background so hopefully you can tell me if this is the stroller that will fit my needs. I am a mommy of a 9 year old, a 7 year old, and a 1 year old. My daughter has cerebral palsy. She is fairly mobile, but does tend to trip and fall alot because of her weak ankles. I was just going to bring our reg stroller for our 1 year old to Disney when we go in Nov, but someone on another board suggested bringing a double so Bella (our 9 year old) could ride when she gets tuckered out. (Heck our 7 year old might even wanna ride). I never thought about it before, but they are probably right. She might tire more quickly because of her special needs. A sit and stand looked perfect for our needs, but is it?? Are they fairly easy to maneuver? Are they easy to collapse?? Will they hold the weight of a 30 pound one year old (Yes, he is a big boy. 99%tile+ in height and weight) and a 42 pound 9 year old?? Could my middle son fit on the seat with his big sis if he too decides he wants a ride?? If the sit and stand stroller won't work, is there some other stroller you would reccomend for me?

Thanks in advance for all the help and advice :)

Its been years since I pushed a Sit-n-stand, so it may have improved, but the mobility was not ideal at WDW and with a large child on it, it would be even worse. Additionally keep in mind that the baby cannot be reclined while someone else is riding, which could prove problematic late in the day. I would recommend that you bring a stroller you know and love. You can always rent one for the bigger kids if needed.

With your 9 year old being only 42 lbs (my 4yr old is 41lbs) you could probably do a double jogging type stroller that'd give her a regular seat. Most hold a total weight of 100lbs and are way eaiser to steer than a Sit n Stand.

I saw a bunch of people pushing those strollers that Owners Locker's Group is renting, can't remember the stroller group's name but they had the ful size City Series double (not the mini) that should comfortably hold all the kids in intervals. Since you are not likely to need a sit n stand at home it may be a btter use of funds to rent that for your trip.

I have a sit and stand and love it! In fact, I plan to take it on our upcoming trip. I have 3 children and at times, all three are riding at the same time.

I was able to buy my stroller used for less than $100 and it has really made my trips easier (no problems steering it, the kids don't mind riding in it and we can move pretty quickly).

The only downside to the sit and stand is there isn't as much storage room as some of my other strollers.

We bought a sit and stand by Baby Trend just for the trip we took in November. Hated every minute of using it. We have triplets who were four when we took our trip. If two rode in it, it was hard to push and steer and they are all average in their weight. I would prefer to go without a stroller than to have to use this one again. I would use a different kind of stroller or just rent one when you get there from one of the stroller rental companies.

Our sit and stand worked out great. We had no problems pushing it around with all three kids on it. It collapses very quickly once you unload the basket. But as far as convenience for us it was great. Out little one always had the front row while the other two would shift back and forth in back. At time they would sit on each others laps. I would definitely keep this as an option for your trip......

Here's my two cents!

I have a baby trend sit n stand and we took it to Disney this past April for a 2.5 yr old and 6 mo old. It worked great for us. We put DS in the front and the baby in the back. Now that everyone is bigger, I have pulled out the back seat so it's just the perch in the back and the seat in the front. I love it. You just have to watch your turns (it does go wide due to the length) but if you aren't going commando with the stroller, it's not unmanagable... It has a single handed release to fold up. I did a lot of homework before deciding on that stroller and it has worked great for my family.

Now to address your questions... I believe the max weight limit is 80 lbs so in theory your oldest could sit on the perch and your baby in the front with a couple of pounds to spare. I imagine you could have your oldest on the perch seat, facing forward, baby in front, and your 7 yr old standing on the platform, but I don't know if I would do it personally, as I don't think I would want to push the weight limit, but you could try.

We didn't take the tram the first day we were at WDW, we packed too much stuff in the stroller and didn't want to mess with breaking it down! By the second day, we had the perfect system down and no problems with getting on or off the trams.

Good luck with your choice and have a great trip!

First off, we actually ahd a double stroller for our kids (now 2 & 5). We ended up buying a sit & stand. To date we love it and have used for some serious amusement park trips (not Disney YET). So we have had our kids and my nieces\friends using it and it has worked out well. My concern is the difficulty of air travel with it. We are flying air tran from Pgh to Orlando and staing at the WDW AS Movies hotel. Any input on how things went from a travel perspective? Both with the air travel and lugging it around on the buses\monorail at WDW...

We have a Joovy Sit and Stand and we have found it to be fantastic. We use it for all our air travel and gate check it (3 trips to Europe, 2 trips to WDW). We plan to take it to WDW again this year. I can't imagine doing Disney without it for our 2 kids.
