Sisters Reunion at the "Magical Kingdom" [Update 3/1 "And all before lunchtime

Awesome vacay. I think it would be cool to do the parks with my sisters hmm well maybe for a day or two... no wait maybe not...

You did get a good building we were in the 70's with the giant Mickey phone in front. Loved being so close to the food LOL.

LOL, yeah, it's really amazing we did so well for nine days together! My parents really thought we'd kill each other but really we had a great time. There were a couple times I think we were ready to bring out the claws, but we just gave each other space and it was all good.

Our building was fantastic! So quiet and just close enough to make trips to the food court manageable.

So when I left off we made an attempt to get Jamie to puke with near success. Now it was off to the uber scary Haunted Mansion! :scared1:

Yet again, we continued with what would be our theme for the trip; no lines! :cool1: Honestly, I barely had time to stop and snap a couple pictures.

Brenda and I remember well the Haunted Mansion at DL so knew what to expect (except for all the cool renovations). Jamie, on the other hand was way too young last time we did this. In fact this was her first trip ever on it! This was great because I was able to convince her it was a rollercoaster that went upside down. Poor thing, she'll kill me for telling you that, but as the older sister it is my job!

HM was of course better than we remembered. The three of us dared to squeeze into one doom buggy even with our ginormous hips. Brenda and I cracked up the whole time as Jamie yelped! I loved all the new effects throughout. As the line was always so short (or nonexistent) we ended up going on this at least 5 or 6 times during our stay. Everytime we noticed something different. And, to help poor Jamie regain her ego, she did not freak out the other trips on it. In fact, she laughed and pointed out new things each time. The longer we stayed, the braver she got with rides! :woohoo:

Poor Brenda, so scared!

Up Next, Frontierland!

Great update! You pictures are awesome of the opening!
We saw it for the first time this year! I want to be one of those ladies. I got the moves down pack now! I have been practicing....:rolleyes1

It was still incredibly early but we were starving! Since it was 11am we decided to go forward with finding food. Columbia Harbor House was right next door so we headed on in. We had a great lunch of chicken nuggets, fries, and a chicken salad. I had the salad and I must say...YUM!!! Great place to stop and fill up.

Now, off to Frontierland!

Our first stop was BTMR. This was another childhood favorite of Brenda and I. Jamie was of course a bit nervous but really excited. She had seen the youtube video so knew a bit of what to expect. This turned out to be one of our longest waits, with about 10-15min. Insane, right?!

You can tell I took most of these pictures as i'm rarely in them!

As i'm the biggest daredevil of the group, I often took the lone seat and let them sit together. Aren't I the angel of the group?!

This was so much fun! We were especially surprised though that it really isn't as scary as we remembered. Guess a child's perspective really is different than an adults.

Next up: Splash Mountain!

Now, some of the following pics come from the last day of our trip. Brenda really didn't want to get wet before her flight so chose to take pictures.

We were fortunate to have our very own log this time around! In the pictures however, you will see the second trip we had a few more people in it. Oh well, we got the back and got soaked!

The first trip of course Jamie was terrified. It was her first time on it and really the drop looks worse than it is. I first ventured onto Splash Mountain when I was fourteen. Man, this thing scared me half to death! The first drops scared me so much I actually tried to CLIMB OUT of the log towards and exit sign! Thankfully Brenda pulled me back in before I got very far. Can't imagine what would have happened if I had succeeded!

Anyway, we loved Splash Mountain. It is the neatest ride with so many great details throughout. I had the pleasure of finally seeing Song of the South (on youtube, shame on me) before the trip. It really helped me understand the ride so much more. It was great and truly my laughing place (especially with Jamie's shreeks!). :rotfl2:

Great zoom, eh?!
