After hanging out at DHS we went back to WL for our daily afternoon rest before dinner. But on the way we decided to stop at Roaring Fork to look for a carrot cake cupcake because our last one was snatched away from us because we weren't quick enough!

This was great and look at that lovely frosting! The frosting was my favorite part of this cupcake. If I had to compare the RF carrot cupcake and the WPE carrot cake, I think the WPE would win but just a smidge.
After we were rested up, I couldn't wait for dinner at The Wave. My sister and I aren't used to anything very unusual when it comes to food but we like to try new things whenever possible so I thought The Wave would be fun and just a little bit different than what we normally eat. It was our very last table service meal of the trip and a friend had given it a great review. We ended up getting there about 25 minutes early and the host gave us a pager and said they would try to get us in early if they could but they could make no promises. I swear that we waited maybe 2 - 3 minutes and our pager was going off already! We were taken to our seat and greeted shortly thereafter by our server Damon. He was very nice and funny and did a great job of explaining the concept of The Wave - sustainable and environmentally friendly (I got a paper straw). I started off by ordering a tropical mojito.

I love a good mojito and this was one of the best I've had!
For my main dish my sister ordered the Beef Tenderloin that came with oven-dried tomatoes, roasted Fingerling potatoes, cabernet sauce and tomato green bean salad. I know I got a picture of this but you guessed it - gone from my phone. My sister said it was good but didn't elaborate much. What she didn't tell me is that after our Kona breakfast that she started to feel sick. Her stomach was upset and she was starting to get a cold. So she was feeling pretty ick at this point. And what I didn't know is that I was starting to come down with it as well! For dinner I ordered the Pork Tenderloin

This came with spicy peach jam, boniato bread pudding and warm spinach salad. I must admit that I had no idea what a "boniato" was! I wanted the pork tenderloin dish but was too embarrassed to ask Damon so I Googled it quickly on my phone and found that it was a type of sweet potato. Good! I like sweet potatoes! I found everything to be very good. The pork was so tender and cooked perfectly, the boniato bread pudding was more like a boniato muffin but it was nice and soft and very tasty. I'm sad to say that I just wasn't incredibly hungry like I thought I would be but I now know that I was in the beginning stages of getting sick.
For dessert Diane ordered the gelato trio

This was Peanut Butter and Jelly gelato, Rocky Road gelato and Popcorn gelato. She liked all of these and the only one I tried was the popcorn which was excellent.
I had the American Flavors trio and I tried hard to eat everything though I wasn't hungry.

These included a Key Lime square, Mississippi Mud Pie with a little ice cream and Boston Cream Pie. I give a thumbs up to all three!!
I have to give a shout out to our server Damon. It was a bit odd because he seemed a little frazzled that night. I don't know if he was behind but he kept apologizing for the wait but honestly, there really was no wait for him to apologize for! He was fun and attentive. We made sure to tell him that we were in no hurry at all so he shouldn't worry about it. And then at the end of our meal there was one extra drink added to our bill and he quickly took care of it and apologized profusely. It seemed like he wasn't very confident that night but he should have been because he was great.
I have to give this meal a solid two sausage rating

I think that if we were both feeling well, it may have gotten a three sausage rating. I would definitely go back to The Wave to test this out!
