Sister called from WDW, stayed at Pop Century 3 nights now at AKL. Her thoughts...

Hi I just though I'd pass on what my siter told me yesterday about their stays.

Pop Century- She said it was really cute, very well done theme. She said the rooms were small but she expected that being a value resort and they've stayed at All stars before. The bus transportation was very good and they enjoyed the food court very much. The only complaint she had was that at night she could hear the guy next door going to the bathroom and that kinda grossed her out-lol. But other then that they enjoyed their stay, although it wasn't a resort they would spend their whole vacation at.

AKL- They love it! I booked 2 standard view rooms with an AP rate and upon check in both were upgraded to a pool view, they went on the trip with another couple. They also were granted their request for connecting rooms, they were thrilled!

They LOVE, love love the AKL, she just couldn't stop raving on the phone. They are park commandos and for the first time ever they took a break from the parks to just spend time at the resort, they couldn't believe it. They said the pools warm, hot tubs hot, Mara's great & the bus service is very good.

Another AKL convert!! We absolutely love this resort - if this trend continues, it's going to be harder to book here!

We will be a AKL in 3 1/2 weeks. Our first time staying here. For the first time going to Disney we haven't made any plans on what days we are going to the parks, or any PS's. We plan on spending some time just relaxing and enjoying this resort.

We have the same itinerary. Going to Pop for 2 nights then AKL for 3 nights. We have not been at either before. We have a savanah view and can't wait.

AKL really is a stupendous resort! It is romantic and sophisticated for couples; warm, friendly and full of activity for families...I think it's just awesome. I'm always surprised at how much less the rooms cost vs. some other deluxes but I guess it's a matter of Location, Location , Location w/ resorts like GF and YC/BC, Boardwalk, etc.
