Hi,

As the clock ticks down to the first part of trip known as Disney 2014. I will be wacking back a few cold ones starting Nov 3rd thru Nov 16th. You can find me in a few places like Magic Kingdom. Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney hollywood studios, Downtown Disney, at the pool, the hot tub, the Trails End, the dog park and other various locations within the Disney ecosystem.

Some of the trip highlights include....
A metric butt load of dining reservations
Even more character interactions
Bass Fishing
Diving the tank at Epcot
Getting hammered in every country at Epcot.
Christmas Party at MK
watching some football at the TE bar.

Seeya around the fort!

Will be looking out for ya when I come in on the 14th.

Hi,

Looking forward to Sunday right now cause that is the first day of the drive. I will be getting there 2 days ahead of the DW and the DD. They are flying in due to school. I will probably be at the pool or TE for relaxation as I have not had any planned vacation time since August 2013 just a few days off here and there with no relaxation.

We were able to do Christmas this time as the company I work for had a trade show to attend. So everything in October is nixed unless you were on your death bed then they still expected you to come in. It is an all hands on deck mentality around trade shows. Now we get to see the Christmas MK over the Halloween MK which has been done a few times before including the last trip.

As for the activities, bass fishing and scuba are towards the end of the trip. These are my birthday presents. I was asked a few months ago what I would like to do. Sitting on the beach was not one of them. I said a Bass trip on the Bay Lakes would not be a bad idea. It would be the first time I went fishing this year! The diving will be the same day but later. That will be the first time under the water with a tank a few years as well. I read what you do on the SCUBA and besides the actual water part, it will be pretty engaging since I am mechanical minded. I like behind the scenes, what makes things tick type of person.

Hey fellow New Jersey DISer. We'll be down there too. Nov 2nd - 7th :goodvibes

sirenia88, I had a picture of a cold one from the Rose & Crown Pub at Epcot in my TR this past March.

Have a great trip.

Its great you where able to plan the trip! I really hope you have a wonderful time. We love going there so much. Having a day or two to relax and enjoy sounds amazing to me. I personally would have to wander down to DTD and visit the Cigar shop, but that is one of habits that I don't usually get to relax and enjoy sometimes.

We are 65 days to departure for our 2 weeks at FW. I cannot wait!!!!

Ariel Rae, ah a Jersey week participant!

Bama Ed, I got blitzed in Germany the last time. I just know I had about 3 liters of beer during dinner at the biergarten. Our bar bill was almost the same price as the food bill plus my parents treated us! I don't remember what beer it was. I just know it was good and the waitress kept going "Another one, ya?" At least the food and wine fest is still going on while we are down there.

My plans at FW are to set up the site. Decorate for Christmas. Lounge in the hot tub for a few. Finally get to watch a movie at night. The last time there were no movies we were interested in.

Now the current weather in NJ is calling for cold and the S word. I am going to so look forward hitting the road on Sunday morning.

Officially on vacation!!! The last 10 minutes in work were tough as I was trying to get some of my paperwork done. ugh! Once on the road, I headed over for some trick or treating with the DD and DW.

Tomorrow is the busy day. With a weather system that is going to pass through the area, I need to get the trailer ready and loaded for the trip. This will be several trips as I didn't have time over the week to make small trips. This is one of the pains of not having the trailer at home.

As long as things go smooth, I will hope to be on the road by 6AM on Sunday morning for the first leg of the trip which will be to somewhere in Georgia. I tossed the straight drive since we would get to the fort way too late to think about setting up.

Long story short. We are here!

We pulled in at noon today. The ride down was really good. The wind was something until we got past Virginia. We got to the Georgia Florida line at 10 PM Sunday. Pulled back onto the road at 9 and we were at check in at 12 PM.

After setting up, took a ride down to the office for the cable modem for the internet. Turns out I had to go to the trading post for that. So all the systems are up. Going to hit the trading post for some grub then maybe to the pool for a dip. It is really weird leaving 50ish weather to mid 70s with low humidity. Today will be a grocery run with some more set up like getting the packed things away. This way DW, DD, and DA fly into two set up trailers as the GPs parent's trailer just arrived a short while ago.

Very happy and relieved to be here. Nice to be on vacation.

sirenia, glad you made it. You gonna keep this thread going or start a TR thread?

I wish I was there too. Have fun!

Hope you have a great visit. Keep us posted.

Glad you are in and safe. I'm watching...

Hey, what site did you get? Got some pics?

Hello!

Well it was a fast and busy day at the campsite. The GPs and I went out for breakfast this morning only to find out the Shoney's is not operational at this time. Now some of you who have them say no big deal. When we come down to the South, we like to eat a Shoney's breakfast buffet a few times. The Sizzler across the way offered something for breakfast.

After eating, we headed out to the local grocer. After wasting about an hour and not finding everything on the list, I gave up and took what I could back to the trailer. It is nice not to be able to eat at Disney all the time. Trail's End is pretty costly on a daily basis. Plus I find the food pretty much a hit or miss. I got a more consistent experience from there breakfast bar.

Getting back from the supermarket, I did some things around the site. My dad and I decided to venture back out to a Camping World for a couple of repair parts for the trailer. While traveling back to the Fort, I noticed a Publix! Got everything else on my list in about 6 minutes. Publix are generally laid out close to what I can navigate at home. So finding things should not be that much of a pain. Mission accomplished.

I went about making repairs to the trailer. Now this afternoon I was going to do some swimming but the sky were overcast. It didn't feel swim like weather. I went forth and set up Christmas lights. Got the trailer all decked out. Once done had something to eat from the food I just picked up.

Tonight I will finalize some things around the trailer. Make sure beds are made. Clothes are away. I know Cars is going to be playing at the movies. I will probably take a walk over there for the show. I don't need the sing along. Just some good ol' fashioned Lightning Mc Queen and Doc Hudson. After watching that movie so many times, I will still find something in the background that I didn't see before.

Well one last night before the start of everyone's vacation. It should a great one!

Sounds like you got the site all decorated, will have to take a walk and check it out. Have a great time.

We start shopping the sales before we go down, less to buy when we get there. And some things in FL are just always expensive (like chicken breast.) But Publix near CW is our choice since we always seem to have a camping world run when we are down there. Also a good place for us to resupply as needed during the stay.

JBro, My wife and I wanted to shop before my section of the trip but we ran out of time. So it was going to be something to deal with. It is still a bit cheaper than going to park or TE every day.

AS for the loop, I thought to make it game of it. Which loop am I in? I know I'm in a loop but which one. My cheesy clues may give it away.

First clue. I can really hear the EWP and fireworks while being in walking distance of everything. Do you think you can find me?

Second clue. The loop I think I am in, has a zero in it. I know that I was a poor one since all the loops have a zero in them Some have more than others.

Today I think I will try to make the pool for some swimming and hot tub action. Then get ready for the arrival of my DW, DD, and DA.
