We used to be so close but it seems like she talks to me only when she needs something!

I'm sure this will pass. I remember at that age my aprents "didn't know anything." However, we now have a great relationship.

sometimes parenting is a really rough job.... teenagers ..whew! I have two at home now who are on the hormone roller coaster. I made it thru with my eldest son.. it was difficult but we are now close again.

all I can say is.... God Love ya! and it will get better.....

and most of all just be available because when they do want to talk to you it may be inconvienent, it may be veiled, and it may seem unimportant.....but it is most of all communication!

As another single mother of a 17 year old daughter ~ I know exactly what you mean! I just try to keep in mind that she "thinks she knows all the answers" and I am only trying to give her the best guidance that I can!!

I am sure one day, she will come to me and thank me for the "NO's" I gave her and for the arguments we have!!

A good call and tears to your mom may help you like it helps me ~

Moms can make most everything seem better!! Just know that you are not in this alone!
