Just had to share my enthusiasm!! Down to single digits til our first trip!! We've also decided to add another day and see Epcot :) We weren't gonna be able to go there, but decided we might as well see ALL the parks while we're there. We aren't sure if it's 'for us' so we may hop somewhere else if we aren't thrilled with it.
Can someone tell me how 'great' Epcot is so I'm looking forward to it as much as the rest of the trip?!?!?!?!?!

Oh, my family LOVES Epcot! That's our second favorite park! (Okay -- they're all very close, but it is Number 2!)

First of all -- you have to see Illuminations -- it is a DO NOT MISS! The show is just awesome.

Other must-dos are:

Spaceship Earth
Test Track
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
Cranium Command

I have never been on Figment, but I know a lot of foks would say you have to do it -- I plan on it next trip.

Also, you might catch Mission: Space!

In the World Showcase, our favorites are Mexico, Germany, Morroco and the UK -- make sure you go back into the courtyard area there -- it's very nice and relaxing.

I'm sure I missed some of other's must-sees. I could write a whole other post on the restaurants -- too many to pick a favorite I think. Rose and Crown, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Biergarten, and on and on.

I guess you can tell -- WE LOVE EPCOT! I'm so glad you're going to visit it. Be sure to ride the Friendship across the World Showcase Lagoon.

Okay -- taking a breath here to let someone else gush!

I forgot about Honey I shrunk the Audience..my DD7 wants to see that! My hubby isn't much into shows..but I love them!! I also remembered...Living Seas is there..right?? I'm a dolphin lover..how is that place??
We may also do the ice cream social..do you need reservations for that? What's the cheaper places to eat there? I'm just thinkin we'll probably spend half the day there then go BACK to MK..lol... But..my hubby went about 10 yrs ago..when he was 16, and he said he loved it..so we'll see :)
Thanks for the ideas :)

My family also loves Epcot!! It is a beautiful park and there is so much to do. It doesn't have a lot of rides so I think a lot of people take it for granted and you absolutely can't miss Illuminations.
Some of our favorite things include:

Test Track

Journey Into Your Imagination with Figment--don't miss the ImageWorks area-we usually spend 30-45 minutes playing around in there!

Ice Station Cool

Spaceship Earth

Maelstrom

And don't forget all the live entertainment and shopping in all the countries. We usually spend at least 2 full days in Epcot and we have yet to make it to all the countries. Go--you will love it!!

My family also loves Epcot!! Dh and I love Spaceship Earth and Test Track, while the kids just love going into Ice Station Cool!! :)

Have a wonderful time, we have a few more weeks to go before we arrive! :)

Hey, Cali! Yep -- there have been dolphin shows in the Living Seas -- the show wasn't long, but those dolphin are smart! That was a year and a half ago, so somebody correct me if they don't do that anymore.

I think you do need reservations for the ice cream social.

We usually spend one full day in Epcot and maybe a couple more evenings after the other parks close (we go in December, so they close earlier). Strolling around the countries is one of my favorite pastimes.

We like the Electric Umbrella for burgers, the Cantina de San Angel (which is outside of the Mexican pavilion) has pretty good counter service Mexican food. The Liberty Inn has good burgers, chicken and fries, plus Sommerfest in Germany has good sausage hot dogs with kraut (yum!). And, don't forget Pure and Simple in the Wonders of Life pavilion. They make the absolute best root beer floats! They have good wrap sandwiches too.

One place I want to try is the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK.

I can't wait to hear how your trip goes!

HI Cali,

I'm glad to see you are gonna be able to go to Epcot. You're gonna love it. That's the first park we're going to on our 1st day-morning tour, MK on our 1st day-evening tour. I'm glad you made it to the single digit dance party.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: .
Have a wonderful time when you're there.
