I've heard about this but don't know much about it. Where is it, what is the cost , what time does it start, and do you have to book ahead of time. Thank you!

Near Meadow Trading Post in FW ... start time varies depending on time of year (dusk) ... call the FW front desk and ask (or it you're staying at FW check your Gazette) ... free to Disney Resorts guests ... no ressies, just show up.

They do sell S'more kits for $6.00 ... couple of "sticks", marshmallows and Hershey Bar.

Lots of fun.

They also have one at POR, but I don't know if it is limited to resort guests only. When we were there in December, there were very few that participated, but we had fun.:wave2:

I didn't know they had one at POR! Are there characters there, too? Thanks, we are FW campfire nuts but will be at POR this trip!

I think the one at POR is very scaled down from the one at FW, from what I have read. No characters. Just a couple of castmembers that lead songs and all the kids in a skit and read a book...oh and the great smores. Definitely a lot of fun for my family, but we needed some downtime that evening!

Is the campfire at FW everynight, what characters are there, Ive heard that there is a campfire that has a sing-a-long, smores, and a movie, is this the same one? My parents are looking for something to do with the grandkids 9,7,5,5 & 3 while we (the parents) are doing grown-up things in DTD. Other suggestions are also welcomed, they wanted to do Hoop-de-do but it was booked and the Backyard BBQ didnt fit into the schedule. TIA for any suggestions

Chip and Dale and a woman named Sandy ofter leads the singing, she was VERY good. Our kids 12, 8, and 4 loved it. Get there early for a good seat. You can but hotdogs there too. Get there early for a good seat, take autograph books and be ready. Chip and Dale also LOVE chocolate chip cookies if ya want to take them one. :wave2:

No cost, the campfire is in an open-air theater. Come and enjoy--just be careful because you may catch the FW bug and keep coming back!!

Yes, there is a movie and usually a cartoon short first. Check on the Dis camping board for the movie list to be posted as soon as someone gets it.
