Since we get a refillable mug can we get a snack substitute at the food court for QS meal?

Because we can have all we want to drink with our resort refillable mug I can't see getting a second drink with our quick service meal credit.

Are you allowed to get a snack instead of the second drink?

The ability to trade your drink to snack has been removed from the 2017 dining plan. Your experience may vary.

It never hurts to ask, but be prepared to be told you have to get some kind of drink. A bottled drink to save for later in the parks is allowed.

This what I do, if I am on the dining plan. Especially orange juice for the next day.

I haven't been down since the changes, but I've read a few people saying you do have better luck with this at the resort QS because they know you have the mug. As noted, there's still the option of a bottled beverage if a "snack" isn't allowed.

We were at BCV in March and we ate lunch at the pool a few times. Our server actually suggested we pick a snack instead. We would get ice cream or pretzels for the kids. He would even bring them to us after we were finished with our meal!

When we Stayed at Beach Club in May the marketplace allowed us to do it but said they weren't supposed to so not to expect to be able to sub next time. I asked at Boardwalk Bakery while ordering & was allowed to without any problems. I would check first just to be safe.

we always got something to put in the frig for the kids for later. apple juice, OJ and milk, drinks you can't get using your mug.
