I was looking forward to going out in my wedding dress to Pleasure Island. Since it's closed are there any other locations where my group and I can go out dancing to? On Disney property? OFF of Disney property? Thanks for your help. :thumbsup2

You can go to Atlantic Dance Hall at the Boardwalk. They usually have a dj and dancing. Also, there is Jellyrolls (also on the boardwalk). No dancefloor but it's awesome. Dueling piano's and a singalong - my favorite place to party at Disney.

Thats where we're going after the wedding!!!! Party at JR!! :cool1:

My understanding is that it isn't opening the clubs or anything since they are trying to be more "family friendly" .

City Walk... its Universal, but fun! There's the Hard Rock, Jimmy Buffet's, shops, and then the clubs & bars are on the 2nd floor.

I think this is where we are going after our wedding, and I am totally gonna stay in my dress!!!

Here's another vote for CityWalk! We've had great times there  But I would like to check out JR and ADH for our joint bachelor-bachelorette party since it's closer than CityWalk

I think it was beause of some of the numerous times police had to be called in. I think it was about a yr or so ago, a young couple reported they were kidnapped from the DTD parking lot(late way past most "family with kids" bedtime). Turns out they went themselves to buy drugs and got themselves in trouble.

This stuff makes the AP wires/local papers. My anti-Disney friends always would bring these stories up,even before I saw the stories on the DIS. I Disney just got tired of the bad publicity and plus I don't the clubs were financially doing that great.
