should we start a thread and "bump" it daily as one of us calls CRO to check if AP rates are out? This would avoid CRO being bombarded by our calls and it would give us peace of mind that somebody checked. The boards seem to be very quiet and I have to admit even I've stopped calling to ask and am in the wait and see mode. Is anyone still calling to check? What do you think? :)

I think that is a brilliant idea and helps keep the board cleaner

Thanks
Jason

Anyone know what time the phone lines are open? I am in the central time zone. I seem to remember waking up at an unbelievable hour some Saturday last year to secure CRT reservations. I am thinking around 6 AM Central?? Anyone know or better yet anyone in the Eastern time zone willing to make the call? I can do it if know one else is able....I have a feeling we need to keep our eyes open the next few days as Florida resident rates have been out for 2 weeks on Monday and after researching historical discounts on Mary's site it seems that if an AP rate comes out they do so about 2 weeks after FL resident rates....:)

I think that's a great idea.

CRO opens at 7:00 am EST.

onceuponadream you are a genius for thinking of this!

Two of us called today 3/28 and were told Sunday or maybe 4/1 as the date the AP rates would be released.

I think it's listed as AP's Not out Yet!

Okay..I'll start a new thread and as I/we check for AP rates we'll post it here and update it as the day/weekend goes on. Let's hope they're out by next week! :)

Oooops.sorry sneezy1956! Looks like we came up with the same idea at the same time :). Thanks for doing that. We will post on your thread if/when we check too. Just keep bumpin it up and we'll all know where to look! :)

Welcome to the Dis! You won't be uniformed long if you lurk on these boards enough :). AP stands for Annual Pass. Sometimes Disney offers discounted resort rates to those of us who purchase an annual pass. We are patiently ;) waiting for rates that we think/hope/wish (you get the point) may be released soon. In order to get an AP rate you just have to call after they are released and ask for the rate for your resort/stay if it's available. Then of course you need to purchase an AP before your trip and you're all set! Check mousesavers.com for more info. Hope this helps :)

I don't need AP rates, but I will be up tomorrow SAT. (b-4 7am). So If anyone wants me to make the call I will, and I can post here if you would like or start a new thread. Just let me know ASAP.

If you already started a new thread I can't find it so let me know where to look!! I really wouldn't mind calling. It would be my pleasure to "give back" some of the GREAT info I have received!!

That sounds great to me! sneezy1956 has a thread titled "Ap's Not Out Yet" a little further (not much) down the page or maybe on page 2. I think it's a great idea to use that thread as sneezy had already had that idea today :). I'll make sure to check it when I get up. Thanks so much :). If by any chance sneezy has already checked it you'll know because they will have updated the info...here's wishing and hoping and pixie dust :)

Will the AP rates just be out for the time period of the other discount codes that are out now, or is there a chance they will be for the whole summer? I know no one is sure but do they usually do the whole summer or just through the regular season?

Denise

They will be out until July 3rd. Thats what CRO just told me 15 mins ago.

Well, since my trip is not until later in July, I guess I will have to be in the next group of people holding their breath for codes and AP rates!!!

Check Mousesavers.com. Mary has a section called Frequently asked questions. Under there is a thread about when codes and AP rates/FL resident rates have been released for the last 2-3 years :).
