Hey there !

I've heard from a CM that on 10/16 the Kitchen Conversations host will be Robert Irvine from Dinner:Impossible. I'm so excited, since that happens to be the second day of our vacation! Can anyone confirm list? Its listed as TBA on this site...

Now, I know Chef Irvine is not longer with the food network due to his "inaccurate" resume.. BUT, he is my son's (age 8) favorite cook!

Are the Kitchen Conversations kid friendly? Any one attended?

Thanks for any help you can give!!

It makes perfect sense that they would keep it "TBA" until Disney decides whether to associate with him, if it is Robert Irvine. They might want to distance themselves from him because of his scandal.

Me? I want to book it for the vintner. I wouldn't mind if it was Robert Irvine. I like him.

I hope we will finally know the answer to this and other perplexing F&W questions tomorrow when Disney officially releases their program details.

I'm with Lori ... seriously considering booking this event just for Caymus Winery. :thumbsup2

Thanks ! I didnt realize tomorrow was the day. I had heard about Robert Irvine being the host from the WL IPO, so hopefully that is true :)

Do you know if its inappropriate for an 8 year old? I dont want to bring my son if it is, but he loves to cook. You should see how he "presents" his dinner plate !

I've been the one adding the updates. I actually made the decision to make that date TBA as I knew of Robert Irvine's status. According to Disney, he's still the host of Food Network's "Dinner Impossible." :sad2:

I'm extremely doubtful that he'll be hosting this one. I did include the scheduled winery for that date. There's a possiblity that it's "subject to change" but the likelihood is far less than having Irvine there.

Welcome to my world..............:headache:

Thanks for the info Regina. I was surprised he was going to be there too, esp. since his cookbook that would be given out - contains all the same false info :(

Is tomorrow the day we can book or just the official schedule comes out tomorrow?

Thanks Regina for all the work. I would love to do the first Saturday night competition dinner but $450 :scared1:

I believe that tomorrow is when Disney is releasing the schedule and that booking is on the 25th.

Hopefully they'll finally have the price of the Champagne Brunch. I must check that 10x a day. :sad2:

The only time I've seen children at the paid events was Party for the Senses, and that was few and far between. The events serve wine and cater to a more adult palate, but I don't know if they actually restrict children from the event (other than not serving wine).

If your kid has a sophisticated palate and can sit through a cooking demo, I'd say you'd be fine. :)
I think the biggest drawback for these events is the cost.

I've been checking the price a lot on that one too ... I thought someone mentioned on the F&W thread that it was $150 pp. :scared1: I've yet to see a three-course meal that's worth that price tag even with fancy-schmancy wine.

And thanks for all the updates you've been posting. We all appreciate any morsels of information we can get! :thumbsup2

Disney finally added that the price for the Champagne Brunch and it is $150. I made the update and filled in a few missing pieces.

I'm still seeing $425 for the Bocuse thing (and Robert Irvine's still there. ;) )

Magic2go, I've also seen kids at the PFTS, but I probably could have counted them on one hand. I would imagine you'd be paying the same price as adults.

ok a bit off topic, but what scandal? I remember him from the food network but also saw that his show was being hosted by someone else this season. thanks for the info

If you Google his name, you'll see what caused the Food Network to cut him. He has a very "vivid imagination." :lmao:

Regina,

thanks for the info, now for the hard part on deciding if I should book or not - am I correct to assume, that once I book there are no refunds if the schedule should change?

I've about talked myself out of it - not sure I want to take a gamble on it and having it changed....
