Since Dining Rotation Has started on the wonder- when will we get to choose our dinin

Hey everyone,
since we are going on a cruise for the first time with disney in late august and we heard dining rotations will be taking place- when will we pick our dining slot time? for instance we have late seating so someone said we would choose between 8, 815 or 830pm- I maybe would like 8pm so I was just wondering if we get too chose and if so when?

I don't believe that you get to choose the time. We are going on the 8/28 Wonder, and I received a letter from DCL this week advising of the new times. The letter stated that we would find out what time we have been assigned when we get to our stateroom and see our dinner tickets. I don't think that they will be giving people choices, as there isn't much of a time difference between the three. You get to choose early or late seating, but not the time frame within each seating. I'm not too concerned about which time we will be given because they said that all of the entertainment scheduled will be changed accordingly to accommodate the new dining times. I can say that I will not be thrilled to get the 5:45 slot, but I'm going to try not to be dissappointed if I get it. 6:00 or 6:15 just "sounds" better to me for dinner time. 5:45 seems too early, but I guess it's just 15 minutes so . . . I'll go with the flow.

Is this only on the Wonder? First time I have heard about having 6 different times for dining. I wouldn't like the 5:45 either, but I guess 15 minutes is not going to make a huge difference.. Wonder why they are doing this?

Does anyone know why they are doing this? Is it to spread out the crowd?

You do not get to chose your dining rotation, unless you are at concierge level, perhaps. There is a difference between dining rotation, which refers to the order in which you eat at the different restaurants, and the time you eat. You can request a different dining time but the rotation is assigned and you rarely know that until you get your KTTW card...It is printed at the bottom of the card. If you see at that time that you would prefer a different restaurant rotation you can talk to your head server (I did) and they can usually fix it. I have seen that they are adjusting the dining times but have not seen anything official about it (It was not in effect for the May 14th repo cruise...)

They said in the letter I received that it was to relieve the congestion getting into dinner.
