I read that the Simsons Ride can be claustrophobic and I suffer from claustrophobia. Is the ride car comletely closed or something? Any insight would be helpful. Also, any other rides I should be concerned about?
Thanks

I wouldn't find it too claustrophobic. The ride car has an open top, and you are then lifted up under a big IMAX dome. The sides can be a little tight depending on how many are/the size of people in your row. So, it can be a tight squeeze wall to wall, but there is head and breathing room. You are not brought very close to the "ceiling" and is quite far from you.

If you ever rode Back to the Future, it is the exact same ride car (just painted Krusty colors).

That doesn't sound too bad, thanks for the reply. Bummed I am going to miss Forbidden Journey as I can't do shoulder restraints.

You can find some pictures of the ride car. It uses lap bar restraints, and the back row has a small very overhang above the rider's head, so if that bothers you try to get the front row.

Hope you enjoy!

You might be able to find a video of the ride somewhere. I didn't think it was to closed in. It's a really fun ride!

I would not call it a claustrophobic ride, but the 3D effects are so good that the ride is very nausea-inducing. I'm done for the day after that one. Not sure if I ever rode anything more nausea-inducing.
