Simpsons Ride

I really liked the Simpson's Ride and think they did an excellent job with it. Rides of that nature usually make me sick (motion sickness) but I handled this ride fine. I really felt at times like I was on a roller coaster. It's a lot of fun, I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

It was really cute!

I did read somewhere that someone brought Dramamine with them - well, as opposed to Disney where I've never needed it, at Universal I found I took it almost every morning! Their 3D and motion simulator rides are much more realistic (probably better) than Disney.

My DS loved it. Once was enough for me.

Its was pretty good. Not as bumpy as BTTF was, but the whole time in there I was looking around and remembering BTTF. Its basically BTTF re-themed.:lmao:

DS6 loved the ride. Me on the other hand loved it but I have to admit i was feeling it a little after the ride..

can someone explain the ride a little...is it a simulator ride and could a 5 yr old go on...i usually send in the family first and then they let me know if i'll like it...

To quote my DS 14 and DD 12, "It was awsome!"

Enjoy

GREAT RIDE! You could tell it was smoother than Back to the Future. Two thumbs up!

If its any help go on to Youtube & you re bound to come a cross an on ride video showing you the ride. Thats how we managed to see what its like & it looks great. We re massive Simpsons fans so as soon as we found out that the ride had opened we made sure we d be going to Universal to go on it :thumbsup2 .

My kids loved this and rode it a few times while we were there.

I, on the other hand, think I am completely past simulator rides unfortunately, I almost tossed my cookies on this ride and had to sit out MIB because I felt so ill.:guilty:

I am really, really looking forward to this in November

This new color scheme is horrid!

The Simpsons Ride, while still pretty fun, is just not Back to the Future. First of all, The Simpsons' predecessor was a lot bumpier, and the intensity added to the ride. Also, the video was much better done.

The Simpsons Ride is a lot smoother, and won't make you sick because of its relatively mild movement. But the movie that goes with it is just so darn weird. This random stuff packed in there includes a trip into a dinosaur boat ride, a giant robotic panda, a trip into Maggie (the baby's) mouth, and a giant baby destroying Springfield...weird. Sure it's funny, but stupid. I like Back to the Future's rougher, more serious approach...it made for a better, albeit more intense, ride.:sad2:

main reason i can't be on the uo forums like i used to.
much too bright for me especially when i only get the blank white screen when posting.

i feel your pain........:cool2:

The Simpson is MUCH MUCH smoother than BTTF. I used to get motion sick on the old one, but that's never ever happened on the Simpsons yet, although there is one part in the beginning where I sometimes get a quick queeze. It doesn't last tho', It's a really cute, engaging ride. Ride it several times because you will notice new details each time. I love the video clip in the queue that explains what happened to Doc Brown.

The ride was relatively fun, although I liked the queue better. The videos (both old and new clips) were completely hilarious and made the wait much more bearable. The themed areas around the ride is what makes the area special.
