I found this on www.27bucks.com(the new reward site owned by the same guy who owns creationsrewards.net),the sign up is also on creationsrewards.net

I am sure it is the same people that do www.connections123.com but on this one you can order your tickets and meal vouchers online!

I went through the 27bucks.com and got the 30 day free trial,$25 kmart gift card and am getting 6 disney dollars for the sign up through 27bucks. I just NEED to make sure i cancel it before the 30 days because if not i get charged $139.00 OUCH!LOL

I immediately got my member id and could log onto the site. They have the same park hopper plus tickets,the meal vouchers,the universal tickets and disney quest tickets as connections.

I think this is great because i just hate calling in to order things!

I was able to order vouchers on line through connections.
I just put in the order and then I signed out.
Maybe it was not working before?? I don't know.
Hope I didn't do anything I shouldn't have done

Was that changed recently because i joined connections at the beginning of this year and I don`t recall anything ever saying anything about logging in on the internet to order things?

I never used it because like i had said i hate calling in, so i just cancelled it.

It must be because I tried a week ago, and the order would not go through, and then I tried again yesterday, and it worked.

You guys won't believe this, but I went directly to the simpleescapes123.com website & noticed it does the same thing as the connections123.com website. There is no way to join.

I looked up the direct link to join found at Connections (which is www.connections123.com/join.asp?PC=ENT)


Anyways, for the heck of it, I just added in the "/join.asp?PC=ENT" part to the simpleescapes123.com part & guess what, it went DIRECTLY to the connections123 join up screen!!! It doesn't even mention simpleescapes123.com or anything, so for kicks, take a look, here's the link...

A tip, I use to remember to cancel memberships, is to use a 3x5 card with all the info including the cancellation phone no# on it,then keep that card propped by the Computer [or keep it under the keyboard]where I can see it all the time to remind me of the date and then I have all the info at hand to cancel with.

It works for me,hope it will help others too!!

This is interesting -- Connections123.com automatically renewed my membership for $109.95 by charging my account on June 20 even though my membership doesn't expire until July 19. It took about three phone calls to get my account credited back the $109. And now I see they are still offering new memberships for $79.99.

I plan to sign up again in a few months before our next trip and this time I will get a one-time charge card number from American Express. This way, if Connections123.com decides to renew my membership without telling me, the charge will be denied.

Other than this problem (which really isn't much of a problem), Connections has been great to deal with and well worth the money.

I have no idea what's up with the price difference, did you ask when you were trying to get your account credited back?

Thanks for any info!! I also agree we're very happy with Connections & the other gift certificate options, so for us it's worth it, but even I'm not sure it's worth 140 or even 109 a year... I don't know....

I think you call Amex and ask them for a number. I haven't used this or really researched it but I have seen it referred to on fatwallet.com (my other favorite board for saving money). People there use it when they aren't too sure about the company they are dealing with. Other credit cards may have this, too. When I have the time, I will search fatwallet.com for information and let you know.

I asked Connections about the price increase. They told me they have added new benefits and they were supposed to send me information about this but I never got anything. They did send me 4 $5 vouchers to be used over a year period (one per quarter) to send back to receive a $5 check. However, I didn't think this benefit did much to offset the price increase.

And even though I did cancel my renewal, I will still call in the next few days to make sure they don't plan on charging me on July 19, my actual renewal date.

The one time amex number is part of a program called private payments and you can get access to the one time numbers via the internet. This is the link for info on it:Amex private payments

Thank you for the information on the private payments, that seems like it could come in handy at times (connections being one of them...)

I can't imagine what extra services Connections is adding that would add that kind of cost to the price

I think the only way is to go through one of the reward programs to get the gift card. If do creationsrewards.net or 27bucks.com They have simple escapes in the sign ups sections.

If you do mypoints.com then they have a connections123.com sign up with a $25 gas card.

Report in on my experience so far. I got my membership was only charged the $1 fee once. Went to the site and only ordered one Q&C voucher to start. That was on Tues 7-16. It said 7-10 days for shipping but i just got it from my ups guy by second day air! I checked my credit card and no double charges! So i would say a pretty good experience so far!

Oh, by the way the envelope came from member works just like connections and galleria.

I am going right now to order some more!
