My dd and my niece (age 10) would like to dress up a few days during our trip and have some ideas already as to what they may want. They are talking about hair bows, crowns etc but they do not want to dress up in costume and they don't want the boutique customs .... oh and they want to do it themselves....

My dd came up with a yellow shirt, blue skirt and red bow - just enough Snow White for them !

I am sure many of you more creative moms can come up with ideas for me to suggest to them and then let them run with it !

Polka dot and red/black for Minnie maybe?

If you or your dd's have done this type of thing could you please share ideas and maybe even pictures - I appreciate all your help.

Thanks !!

Have you looked at Disneybounding? They do mainly adult outfits, but you could definitely modify for kids.

I just checked and we could definitely do this in a kids version - fun !

Thanks so much

Yellow Sundress, Red Bow ~ Belle
Red or black polka dot dress with yellow or red shoes ~ Minnie
Purple shirt, green shorts or skirt and a starfish bow ~ Ariel
Pink dress with a gold tiara ~ Aurora
Long pink tshirt, light purple pants/shorts with pigtails ~ Boo

It's also really easy to make knotted tutus with strips of tulle knotted over some elastic to make a skirt.

Interesting. I've never heard of this having a name before; thanks for something to look up. Although apparently my wife has heard of this and looking into it...

There are a few sellers on Etsy that make beautiful Disney inspired bows. The mini one's most sellers make would be a good kid size : )

It was already mentioned but Disneybounding with kids is SOOOOO easy and fun. They can get away with a lot more than us adults.

I like to do a theme for each park we go to.

Also, Target (not sure what size they went up to) had just normal dresses that were styled like the princesses and Minnie. I got my 5 year old niece the Snow White one. It is a comfortable dress, no tulle or anything.
