It has been a while since I posted over here but I had to share this recipe. These "biscuits" are so easy and so good!! I'm thinking they would be good with soup or brunswick stew this fall/winter season.
Bubba's Beer Biscuits with Honey Butter
Recipe courtesy Paula Deen, Lady and Son's Restaurant, Georgia
Ingredients
Biscuits:
4 cups biscuit mix
1/4 cup sugar
1 (12-ounce) can beer
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Honey Butter:
1/2 pound butter
2 tablespoons honey
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients together and mix well. Pour the batter into
well-greased muffing tins and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
Allow the butter to soften to room temperature. Using an electric mixer whip the butter and honey
together until well mixed and smooth.
Serve the biscuits while still warm with the honey butter.

Melissas notes: I use 1/3 C sugar for a sweeter biscuit. On her show Paula says use ¼ C to ½ C sugar. The type of beer you use also changes the color and taste of the biscuit. I use a light beer, which gives the biscuit a lighter taste and golden brown color. A dark beer would be bolder tasting and the biscuit would be a darker color.
