Hello all you Dispeople!

Last night my husband and I (along with about 15,500 other people) saw Simon and Garfunkel in Columbus.

Wow! They were wonderful! They sound so good.

They also had the Everly Brothers with them (wake up little Suzy).
The Everly Bros. are a bit before my time, but I do love that song.
I like the song Dream, too.

Simon and Garfunkel had some interesting instruments, and their band sounded wonderful! One instrument looked like a pvc pipe with cardboard over it. It sounded great when it was played during Cecilia.

I was a little hesitant about going, but it was worth every penny!

Did anyone else go see them?

Lisa

P.S. I thought $45 was a bit much for a tshirt.

I've got tickets ot the Philly show on Dec 9th....can't wait.....

The kicker is I ordered on line and the first time through I got seats in the 4th row center....at $227 a ticket I panicked and reloaded....afterwards....I thought hey I'm sure I could have sold them no problem....

But I finally got tickets ....in an OK section....but at least I'll be there..

I saw them when I was in college at NYU many moons ago, it was their concert in Central Park. I would have loved to have seen them when they play here in December, but wasn't quick enough ordering tickets. :(

Ooooh, I'm so jealous. DH really wanted to see them, but the tickets were ridiculously expensive and I knew with the holidays and a few other things coming up, we couldn't swing it. Glad you enjoyed it though!

I'm going to their show in Boston on Dec. 13th. I can't wait!!

I saw Paul Simon several years ago and absolutely loved his concert. I can't imagine how cool it would be to see both together!!!:D

Our tickets were in the nose bleed section.

I was joking with my boss (who went with us also) that we should have brought oxygen from work!

Our seats were only $50.00, but I must tell you...to hear the two of them live...amazing...or should I say...Priceless.

They were so at ease with each other.

Have a great time Roberta! You will enjoy it soooo much.

lisa im so jealous! i love listening to simon and garfunkel and its kinda a family ritual w/ my brothers and dad to sing that song that goes"id rather be a hammer than a nail...etc...."

I'm so sad.......:(
I really wanted to go, but they are in Atlanta on Dec 20th. We aren't going to be here that weekend.......:( :(
Plus, the tickets were sooooo expensive
So what I did instead was purchase the DVD's of their concert in Central Park :hyper:
I'm just going to watch on the big screen and have my own private concert :teeth:

I did however, get Elton John tickets for Nov 18th. It'll be great to see Elton for the first time, after all these years :D

Simon & Garfunkel are good......always have been, which is more than I say for some of today's artists:(

Hi Lisajl!

I'm from Cols. I didn't go, but a friend of mine said it was incredible. She couldn't say enough about it.

Those of yu who have tickets are obviously in for a treat!
