Simba's cubhouse at AKL - do you need to stay close?

Last time our kids were at Simba's Cubhouse, we weren't far away (in Jiko). Once the kids are dropped off, do you need to stay within the actual hotel/AKL, or can you be elsewhere (i.e. restaurant off site, or restaurant in another resort?)
