Silver Spur Arena?

My 16 year old daughter and the cheer team she is on are attending a competition in Florida in April 2012. I was disappointed to recently found out that this is not anywhere on Disney property. It is scheduled to be held at Silver Spur Arena in Osceola county. Does anyone know of this arena and hotels that are close by? Google searches have not been helpful. Also wondering what attractions and restaurants are near-by. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's been several years since I drove that way (went to visit my sister in Okeechobee on a trip to WDW). At that time, there wasn't a whole lot nearby, but it may be more built up now. I remember it was about 10 miles or so from where I-4 and Hwy 192 intersected, headed towards St Cloud.
