I don't know if this has been posted yet or not, but Chip & Co (can't post the link, but it's on their site if you're so inclined) is reporting a rumor of sorts that they're prepping the castle for Elsa's coronation. If that's true, do you think the crane and silver spires are all part of the coronation and it'll be returned back to blue afterward? Did they do that much work to the castle for other princesses' coronations?

I was at MK yesterday and all that's left of the silver spires is one spot in the front. In fact, they were painting over the silver with the usual blue while we were watching the castle show. So I think the silver was just a primer

The silver was a primer only. There was an article on it in the Orlando Sentinel. I was there on Saturday and they were actively painting the castle, and only a wee amount of silver remained. Everything is back to the original blue, just a bit more shiny and fresh.

And I have had heard rumors that the coronation may not be until Fall, and many rumors that it may not even take place in MK. (Merida's is the only one thus far that did.)

Chip & Co. isn't always the best at getting facts right. They throw a lot of rumors out there that end up not having a shred of truth to them. Take what they say with a large grain of salt.

As noted, the only "coronation" to be held at WDW to date is Merida's.

They didn't paint the castle for hers. it's been noted that the silver or gray was a primer coat, to make way for a fresh coat of the usual blue.

Who knows about Elsa and Anna. It'll happen, but when and where, is up in the air now.

I think they should time it in the fall when they put the castle lights on for Christmas. Elsa could become part of the lighting show to "freeze" the castle.

I think they should paint the spires green for any Anna and/or Elsa coronation.

You know.... for all the money that movie has made.
