Silly worry???

I am traveling with my family to WDW in December and flying Jet Blue.

I am worried about not being able to get room for a carry on once we board.

We are in row 8 which I think boards lastly?

Just trying to figure out how to pack and if I should even bother with full sized carry ins at all???

On a number of our recent flights they have asked people to voluntarily gate check their carry-ons for free due to not enough room in the overhead bins. Once the bins were filled, those who didn't find a bin for their bags were forced to check them. I try to avoid doing carry ons that don't fit under the seat in front of me.

Learn the boarding order for your airline. Try to reselect seats if desired.

Sometimes it depends on check in time (American, Southwest).

Sometimes those sitting in window seats board before those sitting in middle seats, then aisle seats (United).

Sometimes it is a seemingly random "some here, some there, more here, more there" arrangement (Delta).

And sometimes they start with the back rows and work forward.

Jetblue boards from the back to the front. Unless you paid extra for your seats (there are some seats that are addtl cost that get you early boarding), you will be among the last to board. And that could be an issue.
I would just check a bag.

That's what I thought. Jet Blue does load from the back to the front and out row is the last row before the extra leg room seats...so I know we will be last.

Ok...so I will just plan on everyone having a little back pack etc. with things we will need for that first day and that's it.
