Don't know why I thought of this... DS8's crocs are a little big on him. He loves them and the next size down are a little small. What happens if his shoes fall off on Soarin'? Is there a way to get them back? Can I put his shoes in my backpack right before he gets on the ride? Soarin' is the only ride I can think of where your feet dangle. Are there others? Sorry for the odd questions?

There is a basket underneath the seats for all your stuff - it's easy after you buckle him in to throw his shoes in it. :thumbsup2

We were told to remove our flip flops and leave them under the seat. You will land where you started so you will not lose anything. :teeth:

Take them off and let him ride barefoot! It's the best way to experience the ride, IMO!

I don't thnk that is a silly question at all...I was thinking the same thing for me...I wear mine with the straps flipped forward all the time so I will toss mine in the basket too! As much as I would hate to lose one, I'd hate to hobble around the park for the rest of the day in barefeet! Actually they might even make you leave? Not sure barefeet are even allowed.

Yeah, and tell him he might get his feet wet during that low flight over the high ocean waves!

(I know it sounds ridiculous, but I kept waiting for it to happen)

:thumbsup2

We haven't had any problem with our shoes before but we have seen others either leave them on the floor or put them in the basket under the seat.

I left mine on the floor in front of my seat, the seat arrived right back where I'd left my shoes.
I LOVE riding it barefoot! :teeth:

The CMs asked us to remove ours. As others said they will be there when you get back. There is also a basket underneath to store stuff.

When my wife took off her shoes the CM tickled her feet.

LOL, fun question actually. I only wear flips or Birks when touring so I've only ridden Soarin barefoot. :thumbsup2

Sigh. I'd like to be on it now.

Hmmm, I guess I'll have to wear my crocs or sandals and ride barefoot. Sounds like the way to go. I'm really looking forward to riding Soarin' for the first time. :goodvibes I think I'm as excited as the kids for our first WDW vacation.

Thanks again for all the replies!!
