silly question re: lanyards?

Sorry this may seem like the stupiest question ever but here goes: Besides attaching WDW pins to, I was just wondering what else is a lanyard good for? I saw a metal clip at the bottom and was wondering what attaches to it?

ID cards at work! Seems everyone has to have one nowdays for work. Further so many companies are makingthem for their clients! Free publicity! Apart from that I don't really see what else you could use it for or why you would! Anyone?

Park Tickets, Annual Passes, Fast Passes, Keys to the Kingdom.....thats what we use em for........

I use them for pins & WDW tics as the above have said, but Ive seen people (mostly kids) with keys attached on the latches. I guess that's easier then in key chains in your pockets.

Oh I understand. Great idea for park tix and fast passes. Do the ones (lanyards) you buy at WDW come with some sort of holder attached to the clip at the bottom to store the park tix etc? How much are lanyards at WDW?
