Silly question about walking and distance

When I pull up the little map on disney's site it looks like sports resort is relatively close to blizzard beach, animal kingdom and HOllywood studios. I Know that it's just a little cartoonie map but are any of those walkable from the hotel? There's no key to tell you distance and I haven't been to disney since 1989 so I have no clue how big it is anymore.

Not that close, the Disney maps make it look like a small place, but I think the whole area is maybe 47 square miles. Plus, there are no sidewalks between attractions, so they don't want you to walk. The best way to get a good perspective is use Google maps or Mapquest so you can see a more accurate representation.

The only one you could walk to is Blizzard Beach. There is a walkway/sidewalk from All Star Sports to BB. You can see it in the satellite view in Google maps or Earth. But it is a bit of distance. There is no safe way to walk to either AK or DHS. You would be effectively walking on the shoulder of 4 lane highways. Not something to even think about.

And WDW is big, it's twice the size of Manhatten Island.

There actually are some sidewalks in the All-Star resort area- one of the few places where they exist along Disney roadways. You can walk as far as McDonald's. If you look at Google maps, you'll see the sidewalk and the striped crosswalks at each street/intersection. You cannot walk to Blizzard Beach, even though it's only a short distance farther away than McDonald's, and you definitely can't walk to Studios...aside from it being pretty far, there are no sidewalks/crosswalks for this.
