OK, I have 2 odd questions about the movies on board. Neither one is important, I'm just curious.

1. Are the movies shown in the theater editted? (Like airplane versions) Last time we went, in 1998, we went to see Dr Doolittle and it was editted and quite distracting. Do they still editted out the "bad" language and other stuff?

2. What movies do they generally show the kids in the Oceaneer Club? Are they all Disney animated movies? Are they the oldies or the newer ones?

Thanks! You've all been really helpful!

Nothing was edited out of any movies we have seen aboard the Wonder. When Disney schedules a picture that might have objectionable language or such, and has a PG13 or R rating, they prominently announce this. Last summer we saw the movie "Signs" aboard the Wonder. It was the premiere, and Disney offered it on the schedule. It was a scary show, and rated R, so Disney warned parents that it might be objectionable and that no one under 17 was getting in alone. They had someone at the door watching who went in.

I can't really comment on what movies are offered within the clubs since my children did not go to them, but I can't imagine anything but G rated stuff in there. And I can say that two weeks ago on our latest cruise they were playing Finding Nemo, a current movie. While we were in there waiting for the movie to start, a bunch of kids from the Oceaneer Lab come running in to watch -- on their own. Guess that means they don't play the current movies from within the club.

We also were treated to the premiere of the "Pirates of the Carribean" onboard. This was Disney's first PG13 film made. This one was not edited either.

In the Kid's club they are all G rated movies. Your typical Disney movies, like Little Mermaid, Alladin, etc.

We saw Pirates of the Carribean on board the Wonder!! I don't believe it was edited. The ratings for the movies are well-noted.

...And now for a truly silly question (but important to me!)... Do they serve popcorn and drinks at the movie? I'm a movie fanatic, and am really looking forward to indulging one of my favorite pastimes aboard DCL, but popcorn & pop is very much part of the experience IMO!

Carla;)

You'll need to purchase them outside the theater. THe soda comes in a can and the popcorn is from a bag.

BD, I don't know what you're talking about. I wasn't talking about the CM it was YOU! :p

So the popcorn is one of those "not-included" items? I assume I could take my refillable mug full of pop from elsewhere on board in instead of using the can? Thanks-

Carla
