Silly Gator Question

Okay,
So, they have triathalons as Disney. I'm assuming you would swim in the lake as doing laps at Typhoon Lagoon wouldn't qualify. Aren't there gators in them thar' lakes? And who in their right mind would swim in a lake with gators? Just curious . . . .

DH does it all the time. There are so many people in the lake during the swim that I don't know if a gator would want to get close.

I thought about it the first time he did a triathlon there.

He also does the triathlons in the ocean up in Panama City Beach with the sharks.

I'm afraid I'd be like that baby zebra you see crossing the river on the Discovery channel. You know the one - the straggler who can't keep up with the herd AND gets it from the local croc!
