Dessert for a year (or a shorter amount of time). Commit to providing the winning bidder a homemade dessert once a month for a year. Always goes over well.

Have the cheer squad commit to being the entertainment for a kids birthday party. Teach the kids cheers, etc. That will go super high.

I personally like school sprit baskets, Disney baskets, the movie night at home basket( what I'm doing for my dad), I like bath and body baskets and they have cool men's line now.

I decided to do the chocolate basket!

It makes things easy on me, as I can always buy a chocolate item or two when I am out getting groceries. And a dollar or two when purchasing a gallon of milk or something isn't too bad.

So far I have :

I plan on trying to find some fancier type chocolates to add to it also, and maybe a Whitman's sampler too.

Always a BIG money maker for the silent auction is college themed baskets - preferably two rival schools.

I always do a University of Texas basket/box - two UT Tervis tumblers, a box of UT pasta ($3 at our local grocery) and one other little something UT related. A friend then does the Texas A&M one - same but with the extra little something being different.

If the baskets are set next to each other, the auction price has never been less than $150 each. It's crazy.

(Love the chocolate basket idea though too!)
