First I must confess, my spelling and grammar are atrocious but I can spell Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious:thumbsup2. If nothing else at least I get the journaling done for my scrapbook:)

Introducing the cast of characters

Lisa (thats me) scrapbooking, 70s music loving, romance novel reading SAHM. I love the Beast, saw it on Broadway numerous times and frankly was quite sad when he turned into the prince:rotfl2:

Guy (thats dh) the best husband and father in the world:love: He happily listens to all my Disney info and planning.

Nicholas (ds 4 1/2) Smart, very loving, is now addicted to Disney planning dvd and travel channel specials. Worships the ground his daddy walks on.

Christopher (ds 2 1/2) Loves Cars, Mac is his fave. He loves pretending he is a bear, lots of growling. but then sometimes plays the victim as in "oh no its a bear quick hide!).

So thats our family but and this is a big but, there is much more. This will be a readers digest of what transpired up to this point. Sil been engaged for quite some time. Lives in the northeast but bought a home in florida. We live out west and all dhs family lives in the northeast. So she wants to get married in florida because that is where they will live, ok fine. I say we are not going all the way to florida and not go to WDW! So it begins...

dhs family (just the ones that will be making the trek down south for the wedding)

my mil and my fil not very good at being away from their comfort zone. when me and dh moved out west you would think we were moving to another country:rotfl:

my bil, his wife and son 2 1/2. also stick close to home sort of people but would probably love to see the world if they had someone like me to show them around;)

my sil 30 something, single, heart of gold, pretty much the go to person of their family.

my sil :bride: the baby of the family at 30. been with fiance for years and finally decided it was time to leave the nest.

Then there is the florida bunch...

my sil and her 2 sons 15 and 17. Her oldest just joined the navy and will not be able to be there:sad1:

So other than that dh has one more sister and 3 nephews who can not make it from up north but that is a whole other story.

So I will skip all the drama asociated with weddings and stick to the disney related stuff. Now I had not planned on taking the boys for their first trip for another couple years. We want to do the land/sea with our good friends from back east who have boys the same age as ours. But I figure if we are spending the ridiculous amount of money just to fly to florida we might as well stay awhile and enjoy ourselves. I know, I know the main purpose of the trip is to see my sil get married but that is just 1 day! 4 hours! I cant justify $1200 plane tix for a 4 hour affair:headache: Sooooooo lets add a few more hotel nights, a few more rental car days, food, spending money and while we are it, Park Tickets:dance3:

please bear with me. This is my first attempt at this kind of thing:scared:

so sil:bride: sets her date and mil tells us we can all stay at her timeshare for the week. She is getting 2, 2 bedroom suites:cool1: Now to my practical, lets keep this trip "in the budget" side, this is a blessing but to my vacation loving, resorts with all the amenities, fancy umbrella drinking side... oh well, I am not complaining;) Now lodging is taken care of on to airfare, yuk:scared1:We are still 5 months out at this point so I figure I have time. After researching I figure prices wont get much better just higher, unless of coarse there is a last minute sale. I dont want to play the waiting game, I just want it taken care of. I hate having things left hanging. Just before I am ready to book, sil:bride: changes her date:scared: She has this idea that a wedding can be planned in a few weeks and why do I need things set in stone when it is still 5 months away:sad2: Anyhoo I try to tell her a thing or two about wedding planning and that dh and I cant just pick up and fly across the country with the kids on a moments notice. Well I guess we could if it was an emergency. Well turns out its something about their pastor and his wife having a baby around that time and all they have to do is make it 2 days sooner. ok fine. Now we need a hotel for a couple nights before the timeshare, and a rental car for a few more days etc, etc.

I think I have a knack for run-on sentences:rolleyes:

Ok, so now I need an inexpensive hotel for the night we arrive, the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. 3 nights, then we are in the timeshare for 6 nights. Mil could not change her timeshare dates so I am looking at it as a nice visit with all dhs family that we only get to see once a year, if that. I tossed around staying at Disney value but those are the days we wont even be going to the parks. So I felt it was better to get something more centrally located to what we were doing those first few days. I was not to sad with this because I keep telling me this is not The Walt Disney World Trip, just a little appetizer I guess we will call it:)

So I read Trip Advisor to death and booked a place in Kissimmee. I tell Mil we are booked so she wants to know the particulars and books the whole rest of the family in our hotel:cool1: On to a rental car and the whole car seat thing. I finally decided to just bring our seats and check them at airport. We are renting with Dollar and in small print it says they do not guarantee car seats will be there:eek: So I figure save the money and know we have our seats.

Ok yucky stuff taken care of...
Airfare
Lodging
Rental Car

Now let the fun begin:rotfl2:
