Is there good signage as to what exit to take off of I-4 to get to check in? We're leaving tomorrow and are very exicted:cool1:

You're gonna want to follow the WDW - Magic Kingdom signs. Once off I-4 follow the Magic Kingdom resort signs. You will go through the Magic Kingdom gates and go as far right as possible in the parking gates. After the gate, you will take the first right to go to FW.

There are several Disney exits off of I-4. The easiest for Fort Wilderness would be the SR536/Epcot Center Drive exit that is labeled for Epcot Center. After exiting off I-4 the first exit will be the Downtown Disney exit. The second is for the Studios and the Epcot Resorts. The third one is for Bonnet Creek Parkway and Port Orleans/Old Key West. There is a traffic light at the end of this exit. Turn left at the light. Stay on Bonnet Creek Parkway past Port Orleans until you come to a dead end traffic light. Turn left - this is Vista Blvd. You will go about a half mile and Fort Wilderness will be on the right.

If you prefer, you can stay on Epcot Center Drive until you get to World Drive, which will be marked for the Magic Kingdom. Once you are going north on World Drive, you will see signs for the MK resorts and Fort Wilderness. Stay to the right as you go through the MK toll booths. You are going to turn right just a few hundred feet past the toll booth (you can see the intersection from the toll booths). This is also Vista Blvd. You will drive a little over a mile and Fort Wilderness will be on the left.

I usually go the Bonnet Creek Parkway route so I'm turning right into the Fort, and so I don't have to go through the MK toll booths.

It's funny that you post this question. I-4 was shutdown west bound a few days ago for over 12 hrs. because they were trying to take down the DISNEY (EPCOT, DD MK WWS) sign down and it got stuck-(it took 4 cranes sent in to get the signs down) The last I saw the HUGE sign was in the median on I-4. No surprise there is more construction going on down in that area. Hopefully they will be done before you headout on your trip.:thumbsup2

We also take the Epcot Center Drive exit #67 as we find there is left traffic there. Make sure if you do go the MK tollbooth route that you keep to the far right as ft wilderness guy said - it is hard to get your camper over there if you don't!

Some folks with large campers find it easier to come in the World Drive entrance, then the immediate right turn to get onto Vista Blvd, then a left turn into Ft. Wilderness. The Ft. Wilderness entrance is designed to come in that way as it is angled for an easy left turn.

If you come from the other direction it is a very hard right turn.

Just a heads up.

We normally go in the Magic Kingdon Exit. For me its the exit I am most familliar with and I think of as part of my Disney experience.
