We have adrs at Hollywood Brown Derby and we are on the ddp. I read that the signature restaurant require you to dress up a bit. Is this true? And just what doesn 'dress up' mean? I just need to know before we dress for the day since we probably won't be going 'home' to change before dinner.

 one month from tomorrow we leave for our first ever trip to WDW!

I've eaten at the Brown Derby 3 times and I don't remember seeing anyone dressed up. Since it's in the Studios, they don't expect people to dress up to come to the park. I hope that helps! Brown Derby is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW!

With the exception of Victoria & Alberts and Bistro de Paris, the dress code for signature restaurants is no bathing suits, no tank tops (beater shirts) no ragged clothes. That means that jeans are okay, nice hemmed shorts are okay, t-shirts are okay, flip flops are okay, etc.

Dress code at WDW is very casual. Some people will dress up for dinner by wearing dockers/polo shirts (for men) and slacks or casual dresses (for women) but that's about it.

What Signature Restaurant means to me is 2 table service credits instead of 1 but I think you already knew that.

As far as Brown Derby is concerned, don't worry about it. Whatever you wear for the park that day will be fine.
