I have thought about this and even though these books are very easy to make, I am going to extend the due date since the Rolodex swap is looming over our heads.

SO Buffy, can you please put my due date to July 30th, so these people can CHILL OUT!!!! I think once they start actually making these books, they will realize how easy and fun they are, but right now since it it new and I do want everyone to play and not feel left out!!!! This way, our lives will be a bit less STRESSED!!!!

How is that everyone!!!! So, I want everyone to play and have fun now OK!!! Let's all make fun books and be happy!!!!

And I also have a recipe swap on another board. Very small...only 5 right now and it's 6x6. They're due May 21st.

Rolodex due June 1st - I'd be done those except for messing about with a Sizzlits die that won't work right! (not cut through properly & I have to keep using an exacto knife to release it)

MK swap - 5 groups of 6, 2 elements for each... They're due May 31st.

Never mind all the "real life" stuff I have to do!

July 30th.. Yeah! That means you all love me and will be sending these just a few days late of my birthday! How sweet!

July 30th works great... that means I don't have to stress w/ the end of school activities for 3 schools; teacher/staff appreciation luncheons for 3 schools; sports activities; I can relax and do these without panic! Yeah!!!

Okay, I've started one a bit and printed out your instructions but quick questions. Are they supposed to open flat? How do you tie the ribbon? Knot?

Ummmmmmmm...don't want to disillusion you AWM but most of the stuff I buy, whether online or in a real shop, has "Made in USA" all over it But I'm sure I can find you some good stuff - you can never have too many shoes, bags or stickers

Cool Maria! I just put my dad's house up for sale and this week is going to be really bad to get all the stuff I need to get done. So July is great. I have been playing around and need to get some cardstock at my LSS. Plus dd's May schedule is off the hook. Dance recital coming up, Choir and now softball! Once May is over things ease up, but June 2nd is going to be a bear! DD has choir concert at 12 noon and dance recital at 2pm! We will see how that goes.

Ok, The book will be closed when you tie the ribbon in the holes in your binding. You can knot it or tie bows, your choice. I prefer the knot, cause I like the look. Everyone has their own preference! Do what you like! Try it both ways and make your choice! See what you like!

After you are done, then open your book and flatten it! Mush it down!!! It will lay flat if you pound it!!!! LOL!!! You just have to crease it!!!! Bend it, whatever to make it do what you want! Remember, it's paper! Also, you will have a little space between the binding and the pages, so that is the part that bends!!!

Thanks Maria. I had some Bazzill scraps from the TOT swap so I was playing with that for the spine and wanted to be sure I was doing this right.
