Sign Ups Paper Bag Album!!!!!!! Now Due July 30th!!!

I want to make sure I understand. We are making the album and basically finishing it so that all people have to add is photos and journalling. Should the pages have titles and such?

Also do we just glue the page on top of the bottom of the bag or should it be made into a fold out type bag?

I am thinking about this I would really like to do a general Disney one with a dining theme but I don't know that I have time to make 3 in the next month with school getting out and the other swaps I am doing.

About how long does putting the album together take? (not decorating as I know how long it takes me to make elements and page kits)

Everyone, please check out this web site and view all the different types of paperbag albums out there! I even noticed some Disney ones!

Rebecca, no you do not have to do page toppers and decorating is very easy, some can be done with 1 package of Jolies!!!! I have done it!!! All you need is a bit of creativity and some ribbon! Different types of paper and you are on your way!!! You have to remember the page sizes are small, so the picture will take up most of it! There isn't much room to decorate, so a small embellishment in the corner or the side is all you really need! Like I have said, once I get all my pages cut, I can whip out about 10 books in a day when I put my mind to it! I just have to know what I want to do! If I have to think about it and start from scratch and do each page by itself, then it may take me a few hours to do a book. But that is the most time I have ever spent on a book. That was for a customer and I had to put all the pictures in as well, so it was a bit more complicated, because I really didn't know her or her family!!!! So I was flying blind, but I put it all together and it actually came out beautiful! I only spent 3 hours on it! I used lots of Quickutz too! So that took some time. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that these books don't have to take tons of time, please don't let them scare you!!! I will PM my number to you if you want and walk you through the process and show you how to do your first one if you want me to. I just want everyone to have fun with it!!! That's the most important thing to have fun!!!!

At least this way.. w/ 3 of these albums I will have one for each of my kids that are here w/ us full time... than I can whip up Dss' books after that...

Maria- I am going to take the plunge- they look like fun and I might make some with my middle school girls this summer. Put me down for a Disney general and a spring. I have so many flower embellishments i feel like I could easily do these with what I have on hand. PM me your number so I can call if I have trouble putting the albums together.

edited... I want to try one of these on my own before I join any groups...with the due date so close to the rolodex one and seeing how reallllly decorated some of the disney examples were on 2peas (and the fact that I have no clue what to do, LOL), I jumped in too soon!

Hey Maria~ I returned last night from an absolutely fabulous weekend!! Did I say it was terrific! Wow!!

Anyway.....I didn't PM you on Thursday about this swap because I needed to see the due date and instructions. Though I would really love to join the swap (love the Epcot and DCL themes), I just have too many swaps to do in May and don't think I will have time.

Holy Toledo Batman, I hope she isn't expecting us to make them like some of the more elaborate ones. I'm thinking, textured cardstock, pretty paper (mat, triangle, or border), a few embellishments (sticker here, clip there, buttons over there) and some ribbon. BUT not all of it on every page.

If I'm wrong, I had better be corrected soon.

I got the bags. I ordered some Bazzill so I'm waiting for it to arrive. The company shipped it on Saturday so I'm guessing I'll have it this week sometime. I did get some cool paper at AC Moore yesterday on sale

And I also have a recipe swap on another board. Very small...only 5 right now and it's 6x6. They're due May 21st.

Rolodex due June 1st - I'd be done those except for messing about with a Sizzlits die that won't work right! (not cut through properly & I have to keep using an exacto knife to release it)

MK swap - 5 groups of 6, 2 elements for each... They're due May 31st.

Never mind all the "real life" stuff I have to do!
