sign list ONLY if you have NO pin but were given or found a code.

I have called several times for 11/25-12/2, no pin code under my name, my mothers, or sisters (we all travel together).... so how are you all getting this "code" and where can I get it?????

PIN codes are sometimes assigned to people in the CRO computer... no one really knows how they decide who gets it. The one that is being discussed here ended 3/15. The best way to get in the system for potential codes is to go to disneyworld.com creat a username if you dont already have one and make sure your account is set to accept all email for disney and its partners. Also make sure CRO has your correct email and home address on file.

What if you are already registered with disneyworld.com. ? I don't know if I clicked or unclicked those "accept mail" things.
How can I fix that? I"m on the site, but I don't see anywhere where I can fix.
I DID get 40% off though only because the pin was in my maiden name.
THanks!

:cool1:
You guys had told me to call by the 15th to do this. So I called Thursday afternoon and said that I needed to book another room for my Mom and Dad.

I told the CM that I had used a code for 40% off and she said let me see what we booked you under..Ok..we can use that!!:cool1: She did say it was ending that day, but still never said a word about me not having a pin.

Booked Mom and Dad 3 nights at PFQ for $87 a night!!!!!

so glad that I called!!!

I *think* you have to look for something called my acount or something. Its been so long since i did it i forget exactly.

I am hoping to go this summer but since we just bought a house... It's difficult to convince DH. Last time we went we stayed at ASM but this time I'd like to try a moderate. CSR is booked for our time (8/8-8/15) so it looks like BCR. I also want to try DDP. Through CRO it was about $3400 (supposedly no codes). I tried AAA, which was a savings but I really would like to try for the 40% code before booking with AAA. That would be a great help!!!!!
Can anyone PM me the code? That would be great, And I would be forever thankful!!!

Sorry, the code ended on 3/16. Good luck

When I was talking to Disney yesterday the 40% off code came up. The agent said that there was a glitch and that's why so many people were able to get the code without actually having the pin. She then replied that many were getting into big trouble for having done this.

You mean the cast members were getting into trouble.....I think it was Disney fault...if they wanted to stop it you don;t think they could...

right, b/c how i got mine was NOT a glitch. the CM outright said i had no pin by my name, But i said I had a code and there was much begging involved...and they gave in. not a computer glitch, and not my fault they gave in. I just got lucky and got a sympathetic cast member!

So did I...I think they knew what they were doing..

That's exactly what happened when I was able to book. The CM was such a nice man, he asked for the PIN and I told him that I didn't have it so he put me on hold for several minutes. Came back on the line and said everything had been switched and we were able to add DDP too!

Just letting you all know what I was told. No need to shoot the messenger!

not shooting the messenger, just want the other DISers to know that is not what happened in most cases. I think the problem was that Disney at first didn't tell CM's they could or couldn't give the discount to ppl who had a code, or pin, or both, so there was mass confusion and so some CM's were strict and some were not until Disney figured it out and cracked down.

I want to hear from the people that have been using the 40% and did you have any trouble with anything?
Thanks

There have been quite a few that have posted here that had no problems at check in. No one was asked for a pin or anything.

I used it. I didn't even ask for it, in fact the CM just gave me the discount, and I only found that I had it after I got my confirmation. Went in the beginning of March, had an AMAZING (and hassle-free time). Not asked for pin number, or proof of code. So glad I got some :wizard:
