Whoooooooo:faint:.....I finally have some of my ressies made. Still working out the rest of my plans so I can make the other but my biggies are done.

So far I have:

Jan 24- Cape May Cafe 7:45pm
Jan 25- Crystal Palace 6pm
Jan 26- Artist Point 7:15pm
Jan 27- Coral Reef 6:10pm
Jan 28- nothing yet
Jan 29- nothing yet
Jan 30- 50's Prime Time 5:30pm
Jan 31-nothing yet
Feb 1-nothing yet
Feb 2- nothing yet

I'm planning on going to Discovery Cove on one of the days without a ressie, and just using my QS credit for dinner that night. Then I'll have that spare credit to use for Flying Fish. We're also paying OOP for Cape May so we have that extra TS credit for Artist Point.

I did Discovery Cove a few years ago and it was amazing. Since all the food is included, I figure it's kind of dumb to use a TS credit that day. We can stuff our faces at DC, then use our CS credit from that day for dinner.

This time is so different for me because it's not my typical disney "routine". 2 trips ago, we had the dining plan with the app, entree, dessert, drink and tip included. Holy Hera (yes that's a Hercules reference), that was so much food to us! I got sick of getting apps. Usually what we did was use the CS for breakfast, snack in midday, the TS for dinner. Twice we switched and used TS for breakfast and CS for dinner. Next trip, the app and tip had gone, and I was fine not having the app but I missed the tip. We did pretty much the same thing with distribution of meals though. This time I'm going with someone else and they're not a breakfast person. We're staying at OKW in a 1BR villa so we'll have the full kitchen, and we're planning on just little stuff for breakfast, a bagel or bowl of cereal, then CS for lunch and TS for dinner. Hopefully it'll work out...but I'm gonna miss my Mickey waffles...

Just secured Flying Fish on Jan 31 and Garden Grill on Feb 1!

I wish the website was more consistant. I had trouble the other day telling me it I'd been idle too long and it had logged me out for safety, then the site completely crapped out. Today it wasn't registering I had logged in, so I waited 20 minutes and all was well.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed hours and fireworks and Fantasmic doesn't change too much for when I'm there, I'd rather not have to completely change my plans, but honestly I'm expecting to at least have to change one or two things. I still have a legit open day with no reservation. It's our DTD day, and the only 2 places down there we're interested in are Planet Hollywood and Wolfgang Puck, and we're just kind of "meh" over them, particularly me because I've been to both. I think we may hit another resort restaurant that day, just don't know which one yet.

Sounds good so far!! We've done Cape May Cafe and CP many times......good character choices. We like Coral Reef as well. I'd like to try Flying Fish but not on this next trip. Well be there from 1/18 to 1/29 so some of our days will overlap!! Have a great trip!

I've been to CP, but never any of the seafood places because I don't like any fish or shellfish, the friend I'm going with loves it. All the seafood-centric places have landlubber options that appeal to me so I'm ok with it.

I've never been in January so hopefully it'll be nice!

early, and even mid-January can be cold...but towards the end should be lovely weather. And very, very low crowds....I mean LOW crowds. We had great times there last two years in January...fabulously low crowds & no hot weather make for great fun. Did I say LOW crowds,lol...well, we have pictures of Fantasyland mid-morning with virtually no one in the picture. No line at Dumbo, Peter Pan, etc...the places that usually have long lines by mid morning. Walk-on everywhere in MK. Soarin' fastpasses at Epcot still available in the middle of the afternoon - Test Track 10 min stand-by in the middle of the afternoon. Nearly empty restaurants & shops, too. Getting good spots for parades & fireworks 10 minutes before they start. And if you're feeling hungry early, check you restaurant out -- we ended up eating early almost everywhere two years in a row.:thumbsup2

Keep in mind I'll be coming from Buffalo NY, so I'm hedging my bets that pretty much anything will be better than what's going on here in January.

Honestly I'm ok with cooler weather, I actually have a fainting condition that heat can make worse. I'd just be a bit sad having to really bundle up for the whole time. I've been in Oct and Feb, and had to wear a sweatshirt in the morings and evenings, and even in some of the restaurants because of the AC. The whole weather+Discovery Cove thing also makes me a bit nervous. I know the pool and lazy river are heated, and the animal pools are kept at specific temps for the animals which can be a bit chilly at first. In Feb they actually had big standing heaters on during the morning so maybe they'll have those again.
