Side Dishes and DxDP

Headed to World the first part of May and have several reservations at Signature Spots- Le Cellier, Yachtsman, etc...- that have some interesting side dishes that sound too good not to try. We are on the Deluxe Dining Plan. Are sides dishes an OOP item or can they be an 'appetizer' or a 'dessert'?

Its my understanding they are OOP. We plan on getting a few during our upcoming trip and we expect to pay for them, just like an alcoholic drink.

Separate side dishes (the type you have to purchase separately - not the ones that accompany an entree) are not included. The only restaurant I've seen reported that allows inclusion of a separate side on deluxe DDP is Artist Point.
