Sickening Rides!

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me, I have always been a ride freak ever since I first went on a rollercoaster several years ago. However after going to Vegas and Florida last year I found that I was feeling sick on the rides like I never used to...must be my age
I was wondering if anyone has any advice are there any decent pills I can take or old hearth wisdom cures...anything as I am going to Orlando again in September !

You could always just use Dramamine. A friend of mine uses it for motion sickness on theme park rides.

There's a few other things that people use....mezclazine and bonine? I don't remember but there's two others that people use, and I can't recall the names of them offhand.

I tried low drowsiness Dramamine and that worked well. Ginger is also good to have on hand.

There's a patch your doctor can prescribe for you--it's called the Scope patch. I think it's scopolone, or something similar. Works great--just put it behind your ear and works for 3-5 days. Makes your mouth a bit dry, but I don't have many other problems w/it. Haven't used it for awhile, but after my December trip and having an upset stomach for a day or so after doing Mission Space, will certainly get it for next trip. My kids call me a wimp. . .

Whatever you decide on, make sure to try it before your trip. You don't want to wait until you're in WDW to discover unpleasant side effects.

Moniab I agree DH did not try his pills he bought prior to trip and the first day he fell asleep on several rides eg Blue Line, Hall of President's, Carousel of Progress! DW, that is me, was not a very happy camper, lol!

When I know I will be going on rides that bother me, I take a Bonine the night before and I'm fine. They work for 24 hours.
