Ok I know this might not be the place for this, but I have been thru a horrible week/weekend with a very sick 5yr old and just needed a bit of encourgement , and opinions. If it needs to be moved thats cool with me.
My nephew was diagnosed with Strep , and then for some reason it settled in his hip, we ended up having to fight his Doctors they wouldnt run tests. We didnt know it was his hip because the drs kept telling us it was a muscle spasm in his back/neck. We begged them to run tests, they wouldnt, they actually gave a 5yr old valium! Then after that didnt work, they decided to still have him take the valium, and added tylenol with codine. Finally on Thursday nite we had had enough, he couldnt walk, and was miserable. So off to the er we go, where we were met with a dr that was angry that we brought him to the er instead of his primary dr. After much stress, it was figured out that he had this hip thing, he had to have a surgery to remove the infected fluid. I am really upset with his drs for missing this. Not to mention that his Mother has not been doing what she is supposed to do. He ended up spending 4 nites in the hospital, that I stayed with him about 85% of the time, his Mom wanted to sleep! I am beyond upset. I just hope that by him having this now that he will not get sick around the time of our cruise. Has anyone else had problems with Dr's ? Thanks
