Sick and injured and Disneyland - what a week...

DD has been fighting a bug since the night before we left - liberal dosing of tylenol has kept her happy, but this morning she woke up crying and vomiting. We called House Call Physicians (www.housecallphysicians.org) and the doctor showed up about an hour and 15 minutes later...

Strep throat w/severe vomiting. Injection of Phenergan, prescription for antibiotics - I'm sure DD will be better in the morning.

Then, end of the second night - I twisted my foot in the restroom in adventureland - No more walking for me. My foot is KILLING me - I spent yesterday in a wheelchair. We are still having a great time - but, DANG. We probably will not be in the parks at all today. Oh, and DH has a nerve problem in HIS foot and is in pain, too.

What a lovely trio of sickies and injured people we are right now.

I think we all needed this day off - it's crazy.

Oh, and I lost my cell phone in D'land yesterday, too.

Oh my gosh! Pixie dust to you and your family! I hope everyone recovers okay. As for your cell phone, go to City Hall (or call if you are not going to the park) and fill out a loss claim. Things are turned in all the time.

I misplaced (okay, I lost) my cell phone in DL last year. Someone turned it in to a CM and I got it back right away. Hope you get yours back.

Oh no!! I hope you're all feeling better soon!!! And yes, fill out a lost item form, you never know what might get returned. My DD's hat wasn't turned in but the people in front of us lost their camera and they got it back.

Same thing for me. I got the phone back from Lost and Found the day after I lost it.

Go to Lost and Found outside DCA and file your claim there. They can even check right away if the phone was handed in.

Well, the end of the worst day turned into an ok day - we'll be all better shortly. DH and I bought a wheelchair off craigslist, LOL - Disney was happily letting me use a wheelchair in the park, but, we were having a hard time getting from the hotel to the park and back. For $90 a nice man delivered their used chair to us at our hotel.

DD recovered well after the doctor visit. Her phenergan kicked in and then the antibiotics took hold - she was feeling well enough that we headed to the park for a few hours and then over to Build-a-bear for her birthday bear. We got hold of our insurance and they will reimburse us most of the "house" (hotel) call ($475). It was so worth it.

My phone was found in a teacup (oops). We got it back this morning.

So, all in all - we are pulling it all together nicely and I have high hopes for our last 3.5 days. (It did start sprinkling tonight - but, it was nothing much)

Oh goodness! Quite the adventure going on! So happy that they found your phone! That must be such a relief to you. And your daughter....may she feel much better tomorrow! Sorry you are unable to walk and your poor DH too, wow...I hope tomorrow is better than today.
