Shuttles to the park

When we go to DL we will probably be staying more than a mile from the park. The hotel will have a shuttle but they will charge for it. I'm wondering if there is any free shuttles that run to the parks and how they work. Would it even be worth it or too much of a hassle?

As far as I know there are no FREE shuttles, other than some hotel ones.

There are the ART buses and the pricing wasn't too bad and the schedules and stops were frequent and convenient last time I used them (some time ago). That being said, first off I don't know if they're back to 'regular' schedules or still on the limited 'pandemic' schedules. The pandemic schedules were NOT convenient, nor all that frequent. Second, check the ART ticket prices for your group as compared to Uber/Lyft. When there were three of us (adults) taking Uber r/t was only $3.00 more per day than ART so we just Uber'd it.

Depending on where your hotel is, some people walk to the Toy Story parking lot and take that shuttle to the parks. So, if you are staying on Harbor south of Katella, you could see what the distance is to there to catch that shuttle.
