Shuttle Travel Time/Route to Grand Floridian Meal from Saratoga Springs?

Our party of 11 has a booking two Mondays from now at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian for a Character Dinner. We are staying at Saratoga Springs Resort.

I am trying to plan ahead for logistics on getting us all from Saratoga Springs to the Grand Floridian in time for the reservation . . . . I haven't been to Walt Disney World in Florida since 1997, so things are foggy . . . . Do I assume correctly that we will take the shuttle from Saratoga Springs to the Magic Kingdom, and then take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to Grand Floridian?

-- Or what's the best way to do this using the Disney-provided shuttles? Any ideas? Also, when should we leave Saratoga Springs for a 4:30 p.m. dinner at the Grand F.?

Yes you are correct about taking the bus to the MK and transferring to the monorail. I would leave at least 45 minutes in case you just missed a bus. May I suggest that it would be easier and less hectic if you planned on being in the Magic Kingdom for part of that day. This way you can just leave the MK and hop on the monorail to get to your dinner.

Just because you never know about the bus times, I usually allow 1 hour from the time I want to be there for the reservation. For resort to resort maybe even generous of that. Most of the time I do get there early, but once in a while I've waited quite a while for the busses. The problem is you just never know. (one of the nice perks of driving and having our car, saves lots of transportation time!!!) Usually I try to get to reservations 15 to 20 minutes ahead. But yes, bus to monorail is right.
