Shuttle to Universal from Disney hotel

Any suggestions on a good way to get from a Disney hotel to Universal. I was thinking of renting a car ( I need 2 car seats) but I was thinking a shuttle might be the less expensive way

Additional Information: Valid hotels for this shuttle are located in the Lake Buena Vista, Walt Disney World and Hwy. 192W area.

Swipe the credit card used during your online purchase (for verification only). Enter the confirmation number provided on your email receipt. Print out your tickets. Tickets can also be picked up at Guest Services, but only by the person who's name the tickets are under. $1.99 per ticket processing fee

Ya, Mears Transportation offers shuttle buses to Universal. They will pick you up from your hotel and pick you up from the park when you are done. The cost was $16 for us last year round trip, but I heard it went up in price to $18 per person round trip this year. You need to call them the day before to schedule a pick up at your hotel. At the time that you call, you can either set up a time to be picked up from Universal or you can call 2 hours before your desired pick up time to let them know that you'd like to get picked up.

The easiest thing to do would be to get a cab and since you talk about needing 2 car seats I'm assuming there is at least 3 or 4 of you so the cab would probably be cheaper too and alot more convenient. It might cost a little more depending on how many of you there are but will definitely be more convenient.

We did this in Jan, they had a special for $84 each. A 1 day 2 park ticket is $82, so for 4 bucks we didn't burn gas or pay for parking. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. And one day is enough to do everything we wanted to do at USO, including watching the Blues Brothers twice.
