Does anyone know of a shuttle company that will take my family from Kitchener to Buffalo in January (and back!)? Also, how do car seats work for an airport shuttle? We are taking our car seats with us for the rental car, would we just install them in the shuttle van or can the shuttle company provide car seats for the trip?

TIA

I think I read there is a shuttle from Pearson Airport to Buffalo. I know there is a taxi service from Buffalo to Toronto but it can be pricey. Maybe consider a car rental pick up in Kitchener and drop off in Buffalo. It is difficult without a car.

We've always just driven ourselves to the airport in the past and can do that again. I was just wondering if it was feasible to take some sort of shuttle and not have to worry about driving, parking etc. Paying for parking and gas adds up and if it wasn't much more for a shuttle I would consider taking it and saving myself some hassle.

We are also from this area. We drive ourselves to the airport but I have to agree that a shuttle service would be welcome news for me. Maybe the fact that it would pick up in Canada and deliver to the US is a problem. :confused3 I know that you have to make previous arrangements to take rental cars across the border.

We're back and forth so often that it's easy to forget that we're going to a foreign country. :thumbsup2

I googled this and found nothing of value sorry to say. We have always driven ourselves and stayed overnight. The high dollar makes it even more attractive now, and most hotels near the airport will hold your vehicle for upto 18 days when you stay overnight.
Our DGD was 2 and we just held her in a seat but they will put the carseat in the van if you insist on it. We stayed at the Sleep Inn next to the airport nice hotel, beds were a little small:rolleyes1 but nice breakfast buffet starting at 4:30 a.m. is included with the price of your stay.:cool1:
As I mentioned they will shuttle you to and pick you up from the airport free.
The customs agents (or Homeland Security as they like to be called) will generally have no problems if you tell them you are going to WDW and are not bringing anything (other than your clothes and personal belongings) into the country.
Our agent smiled and wished us a great time:woohoo:
Hope you enjoy your trip.

Is driving yourself an option?

ave you contact you local taxi/limo services?

If not, I would suggest asking a friend to take you and pick you up. Offer to cover the fuel and give him/her a fee for each way.

Why not give Wright Limousine Service in Kitchener a call? Their phone number is 519-894-6854.

mermaid limos go from Hamilton to Buffalo, so you can check if they will go from Kitchener. I never used them, but a friend did and recommend them. I think they had a lincoln towncar pick them up

I think if you add up all the costs driving yourself is more economical that hiring a car. I do agree about the shuttle hassles once at those large airport lots.

If we are not staying at a hotel with a park and fly package and parking at the airport, I drop off my family first with the bags at the departures area, and park in the preferred long term lot and walk to the terminal.

It will be interesting to see what quotes you find for hiring a car. Please lets us know.

We priced out a limo service from kitchener to toronto for a trip last November, and the price was around $300 return. I can't imagine that kind of service to Buffalo to be any cheaper.

We are going to WDW in January too, flying out of BUF, and have decided to get a hotel room for the night before. It won't end up being that much more than the parking at the airport.
