My family (2 adults, 3 kids) will be coming in by Amtrak on July 24. I know the train can take us all the way into Anaheim, but I can rent a car for the week with the LA savings, if necessary. I'm just having a hard time finding info on shuttle or taxi rates from Union Station to the Candy Cane Inn. Any help? Thanks.

The biggest shuttle service here is Super Shuttle, http://supershuttle.com/ or 1-800-BLUE VAN. I checked the site and it doesn't give you an option of being picked up at Union Station, you can probaly arrange it with them.

Taxis tend to be ridiculously expensive around here and most probably couldn't hold 4 people and luggage.

It seems that if you prefer not to rent a car. The fastest, easiest, least expensive option is to take the train to Anaheim. Taxis wait at the station and it's only a couple miles to DL.

Just my 2 cents. :sunny:

We rode the train in to union station and rented a car. It was very easy. I believe both hertz and avis are there in the station. Then we did our thing with the car rental all week. The times we were at dl we rode the trolley around but we still used the car rental for snack runs, late dinners, bf etc.
